Re: 4 pin firewire?

Presonus firebox. Was definitely the IRQ conflict that was causing the issue, I had to disable my ethhernet, video card, a number of other things to get it to run.

I've used it on Dells, 4pin again, without too much trouble.

Runs brilliantly on my desktop.

Re: 4 pin firewire?

I had a TPG laptop, which I think was a re-badged gateway; no luck with firewire, constant dropouts. Not due to the fact that it's 4 pin, but due to the fact that it was a non-TI chipset, and the IRQ conflicts that are common to most laptops.

either assign a controller to your master tempo and change it, or enter the tempos into your scene labels.

Re: New Blog - Ableton 8-band x-fader and cue/master mix tutes

nice one Gary! I will have a look later this afternoon. There you go, Transology, someone beat me to it :). The panning is a very interesting idea, keen to have a go with that. The 4-bander I was working on had adjustable crossover frequencies, but something annoying was going wrong so I put it asid...

Re: APC40 - Step Sequencer, Note Mode, 2nd Device Control, etc.

apart from adding CC's to the matrix customization! hehe I've looked into this and at present it doesn't seem possible, without getting into virtual control surfaces, loop-back drivers, Bomes, M4L, etc. The hardware sends out notes, so that's what the script sees. oh well, not to worry. thanks for ...

Re: New Blog - including Ableton 8-band crossfader tutorial

I think I can do that for you :) Should just be a matter of modifying the existing one: delete 4 rack and change the crossover frequencies.

New Blog - Ableton 8-band x-fader and cue/master mix tutes

Noise etc. :P

To kick things off, a tutorial on how to make an 8-band cross-fader in Abletrons. (I posted this device in here a while ago, but this is an updated version, with instructions that make more sense and a little video)

More ableton performance tricks to come!
