Re: How to record auto-generate MIDI?

You cannot record a clip from this sort of device on the same track. Not 100% sure why, but I believe it might be due to the fact that anything happening in a clip is actually BEFORE any midi effect loaded on the channel is applied. Hierarchy sort of thing. It's the same deal if you use Live's nativ...

Re: Properloop 2.0

Thanks for the positive feedback jcrystal. Glad you were able to make sense of things.

To be fair, there IS a poly mode in Ultraloop actually. :D

Just a note as well, the sale has ended and there is nice update on the way.

Re: Properloop 2.0

Well I bought it, but I don't understand how to use this at all! A manual would be very useful for someone as stupid as me..... If you enable Live's "Info" view, you can hover over any button/component and it will give a good description of what each thing does and how certain aspects of the device...

Beatstep Hacking

Just curious if anyone has worked with hacking the Beatstep (not Beatstep pro) in M4L. It seems pretty amazing and useful out of box, but I can't help but imagine doing some other cool things with it to open it up a bit more. I know there is a supported control script for it which means it should be...

Re: Automate Ableton's Freeze/Flatten and Warp Marker Placement

None of these functions are accessible through the LOM. Therefor, any max for live intervention is impossible. You also cannot map these functions in any way. Also, freeze/flatten always needs to stop audio to process whatever you are freezing and flattening, so wouldn't be much use in a live scenar...

Re: Why is there no rewind and fast-forward in Live?

Out of curiosity, why can you not just skip around where you need with a mouse?

Not being facetious, just curious what the real benefits of this are?

Re: Lost transport sync when editing M4L device

[metro @interval X ticks @quantize X ticks @active 1] This works wonderfully for me. X equals the tick values equal to the note division you want. Here's a good thread from the cycling74 forums discussing usage of metro vs. phasor~.. https://cycling74.com/forums/topic/variable-temp-sync-metro/#.V5iO...

Re: Promoting my songs

Not to be a debbie downer, but a lot of people might not even listen once. So yes, first impressions are very important for those who do listen. Something to keep in mind as well is that it might never feel like a track is finished, and it's easy to fall in the trap of endlessly editing and tweaking...

Interesting and Current Labels

Has anyone come across any lately? Not even physical or paid for labels but even free quality net labels. I've been trying to browse around and find a place I might fit in. Having a helluva time finding any though. I guess for reference, labels I find interesting but are way out of my current league...

http://www.squared5.com/ This is a good lightweight program for converting to actual apple photo jpeg. Other people might have way better suggestions or solutions for what you are trying to do. Open up your video, export to quicktime under file, choose apple photo-jpeg for compression...choose your...

Re: Need help with session view perfomance!

What format are your video clips in? It's been a while since I've used vizzie, but if I remember correctly Photo JPEG would always yield the best results. Maybe this is the issue causing lag? You may also want to turn down your buffer as much as you can. More info can be found here: https://groups.g...
