Full parameter control device for fix mapped midi controller

Ladies, gentlemen, The lack of time forces me to introduce the idea using the earlier discussion (check it here: https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=179808 ) Il'l write a bit more on the idea, and current state of the work ASAP. For now briefly: two midi controllers (UC33 and Doepfer Drehb...

Re: Max for Live call for, SELECTING DEVICE TITLE BAR.

ok. step by step. the device will utilize two different midi controllers: UC33e and Doepfer Drehbank. the way it works: + push the button on UC33 to choose the wanted track (let say it's 01.midi track with operator only) + push another button to choose the wanted live device( it is the operator) ......

Re: Max for Live call for, SELECTING DEVICE TITLE BAR.

the idea is simple: regardless on a number of tracks in a session and devices loaded, the patch is to get info on their location, type, name and parameters: names, ids and current values. Then it is supposed to bind the parameters of the chosen device and bind it to the midi controller. Kinda contro...

Re: Max for Live call for, SELECTING DEVICE TITLE BAR.

I've got a similar problem: working on a device that binds one controller midi mappings to the chosen machine. The problem is that the racks have their own ids as a devices, and need an additional query in order to return the nested devices ids. It sounds like no big deal, but: the instrument rack h...

Re: noobie

four letters, that will make Your brain explode: MIDI. read the keyboard manual, and check the CCs, channels settings as well (on both sides: Akai, and Live), also check the midi settings in preferences: the mpk49 is rather to be supported as a control surface machine, this may be one of the followi...

Re: Max for live

Max For live is (until the L9) a like-standalone addition to Live, i.e. it's to be bought separately, and in order to have it working You also need to install Cycling 74 Max(/MSP), which in the case doesn't need to be bought.

Re: Sidechaining to layered kicks

there's no need to do all that things, unless You really want to have a extremely accurate attack, which is not that good idea. All You need is to set the side chain to the drum rack track and set the inner compressor filter to sort the sound w/ lowpass and freq set to ~90Hz. You'll get a full drum ...

Re: Crackling/hiss drum noise on mixing speakers AND headphones

If I were in Your shoes, I'd check the each track and sample. It's not necessary for a sample, loop or an instrument to be over 0dB in the mixdown to generate nasty noises, as there are plenty of places were it may get over max vol: clip volume, fx devices vol, track vol (which in the case is rather...

Re: Master output behaves like it had a permanent bitcrusher...

You've tried 32bit version, haven't You?

Also - I'm not that much into OSX (and I should), but check if it works in 64bit mode (AFAIR there was an ability to switch on restart between 32 and 64bit).

Re: Preventing clicks in locator jumps

the clip fades soften the start and end of the clip, so even if the audio clip is cut in the middle of the wave, it's prevented from clipping. The clipping caused by situation mentioned in my previous post may occur both: within the clip, and whole arrangement view, if the audio clips are used, as i...

It's not that easy to imagine what's actually going on, maybe if You render the thing to show how it sounds, as there might few scenarios of the problem.
