Re: Problem installing Max for Live

Did you purchase M4L separately to the Live9 upgrade as I think M4L is only bundled with the Suite version of Live9.

Re: Crash hell

Do you use M4L plugins? These have been causing me no end of hassle since 9.1. Upgrading Max to 6.17 sorts some of the issues but some of the crashes I've submitted are known faults they're working on.

Re: Multi-channel spectrum analyzer.

Melda's MMultiAnalyser seems to do the job too. Here's a video of it in action.

Not really. My friend doesnt like upgrading unless he has to and I'm loathed to recommend he does as I've had a lot of problems recently with Live 9.1 and above.

Re: Collaboration woes. VSTs not recalling parameters

Both on Windows 7 PCs and all software is legit. We'll get both versions of Live up the same version and check our version numbers of the VSTs. Since posting originally we're tried other VSTs from NI, Audio Damage, Sonic Charge and Fabfilter and they've worked OK so I'm guessing it's an issue with F...

Collaboration woes. VSTs not recalling parameters

Hi. I'm trying to collaborate on some Live projects with a friend. We've both using Live 9 Suite (albeit different versions) and have agreed on using the same VSTs. I sent him my project, converted to a Live pack, which contained 4 tracks (Analog, Drumrack, Il Drummaxx, FXP Strobe). For Drummaxx I'd...

Re: Amazing Noises Dark Synth parameter recall issue

I'm now thinking it didnt install properly 1st time. I've just reinstalled and all my presets are now organised by type, which they weren't before (was just a big list). Hopefully thats it sorted but will test further.

Re: Amazing Noises Dark Synth parameter recall issue

I'll try downloading a fresh copy. As I cannot get the problem to occur reliably it is difficult to describe the problem further than I already have. For me, the parameter that is always reset is the brickwall filter.

Re: M4L mappings lost when recovering from a crash

Hmm. Kinda makes the auto recover useless for me on large sets as I use the M4L mapping extensively. Hope they see this as a bug and fix it.

Have you contacted Ableton support?

Attach your latest crash report as well. I've had a few crashes recently and they've been good, if slow, at getting back to me.

Re: M4L mappings lost when recovering from a crash

Finally got round to testing and sure enough, MAX LFO mappings are not remembered after a crash recovery. Has anyone else experienced it? I'm using 9.1.1 and Max 6.1.6.

Re: PDC - What does it stand for?

Just in case you were expecting a serious answer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-kL9O74so8 If you forget the Live v Bitwig nature of the video it does a pretty good job of explaining what PDC is and it's effect on Live. If you weren't expecting a serious answer, then it stands for Pulsating Demon ...

Re: Live crashing with Gliderverb and Rob Papen's Amod

Just received a response from Ableton support. They have confirmed the problem (i.e. AMod + Gliderverb + audio engine enabled = crash) and can replicate it in their office. Apparently it's an issue thats been on their development backlog for a while but now they can address it properly with a proper...
