Select all notes of a particular pad (drum) in a clip?

Hi folks, I'm trying to work out how to select all notes of a particular pad (drum) in a clip. From the following website: https://carillonaudio.wordpress.com/2015/08/03/ableton-push-tips-hidden-tricks-9-1-4/ In drum rack sequencing mode, to apply Nudge, Length, Fine or Velocity adjustments to all n...

Midi tool for blocking certain notes?

Hi folks, Imagine i have an instrument on a track. What i want is for certain notes to not get to the instrument. So, for example, if i hit a C1 on my keyboard, it gets blocked and the instrument doesn't receive that note. Or maybe i even want to block a whole octave or more, like C1 to E2. And as a...

How to select ghost note in clip?

Hi folks, I've recorded a 2 bar pattern of kick and snare. Problem is, just before the 1 (so, somewhere in beat 4 of bar 2) i accidentally recorded a very quiet kick hit by mistake. This hit doesn't show up in the sequencer as an illuminated pad......so i'm wondering: How can i select that note and ...

Re: How to stop device view on computer screen from following Push 2?

Ah, many thanks, that fixes it!

I notice that it also disables auto-follow on the Push LCD screen.

Can it be turned on / off from the Push controller itself?

How to stop device view on computer screen from following Push 2?

H folks, I've got a drum rack and i'm trying to tweak the main FX on the rack output. The thing is, every time i hit a pad on my Push 2, the device view in my DAW will jump to that Simpler. But that's not what i always want. Is there any way to stop the Live DAW screen from following the pad hits on...

Individual drum sound volume?

Hi folks, New user here, be gentle! When loading up some drum racks, it's not immediately obvious to me how to adjust the volume of each individual sound (pad)! The thing is, if i load up a new drum rack, then drag a WAV onto a cell (or pad, whatever you call it), then (under the "Simpler" tab) i ha...

Loading 4 drum racks?

Hi folks, i bought a Push 2 an hour ago, amazing piece of kit! A question: a typical drum rack in Ableton is 4x4 The Push matrix is 8x8 So here's me thinking: it must be possible to have 4 kits loaded at the same time on the 64 pads (bottom left 4x4, top left 4x4, bottom right 4x4, top right 4x4) If...

Re: VST plugin "favorites" list?

One more thing, you can rename those ridiculous files anything you like, even when your Live session is open. So you can change "ee51c3dc-4df7-5b42-ac20-6a7594c73adc.xmp" to "XFer Serum.xmp". Obviously you'll need to do it at the moment you add the plugin to the collection and watch out for which is...

Re: VST plugin "favorites" list?

Strangely, Live creates a seperate xmp file for every plugin you add to a favorites collection. You can find it here: \Users\username\Documents\Ableton\User Library\Ableton Folder Info I added around 15 plugs to a collection, and now i see this list (below). If i remove one file, one plug will disap...

Can't set exact BPM

Hi folks, I'm unable to set an exact BPM (like 100.5). Am i supposed to be able to double click and enter a numerical value? If so, i can't do it. Neither in the latest Live, or the beta 10.1 In fact i can't enter numerical values anywhere in Live. Is that in theory possible? If so, something seems ...

Re: Remove distinction between FREEZE and FLATTEN

Yeah, of course, you also want the option to just bounce to WAV with no going back. It's actually possible to do deep freeze manually: #1: Drag the track you want to deep freeze into your "current project" folder #2: freeze and flatten track Now, if you want to "go back", delete this track, then dra...

Re: Remove distinction between FREEZE and FLATTEN

OK, but just to be clear, the reason why some people need to freeze (or flatten, whatever word you want to use) and unload the instrument is that some people are using multiple synths and samplers that hog a lot of memory.....so unloading frees up memory. But you're right, sometimes you don't want t...
