Re: compressor tick sound issue

The problem with FF1 is that it uses the "Compressor I" mode which I believe Ableton superseded because they said that it doesn't behave as a compressor really should. Hence why they made Compressor II which with a new third mode and the Compressor I mode for legacy purposes, got integrated as one ...

Nope, bro.

I came upon this mix on gearslutz and thought I just share it with the Ableton community.

Peace

Re: Robert Babicz Mix

Babicz produced, mixed and mastered all of the material in this mix, as well as dj-mixed the whole set. From many standpoints I'm amazed, and also really enjoy a number of the songs.

If you like house, deep house, tech house, I recommend giving it a shot!

Re: A good dubby delay recommendations

..But generally you have so much more freedom if you use a regular delay and add your own filter and compression yourself. It also lets you change the character of compression/limiting, add overdrive if you want etc. Using a return track as was shown in the covert ops video is the best way to go I ...

Re: Custom Audio PC

I used mac forever, but I wanted a new cheaper music computer. I built a custom PC based around ASUS M4A785TD-M EVO AM3 motherboard and a AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz processor, 4GB of ram, windows 7 64 bit. I'm using a Motu 828 mk3 audio interface. I choose an AMD processor over...

Custom Audio PC

I've been a Mac guy all my life, and have been using Live on Mac since v1.5. I've been looking over Vienna Ensemble Pro and have decided that I want to build a custom PC to run VEP and host plugins therein. I'm looking to build a small form PC - (ideally) 1 or 2 unit rack space or something small so...

Re: Holy Sh*t - Maschine update 1.6 brings VST/AU hosting !

Live 9 + A new dedicated controller from Akai / Novation + Some tricks borrowed from LPC-Live + Revamped Drum Racks = Ableton's Maschine Killer! I think Ableton's going to have to come up with a way to provide the kind of hardware-software integration that MASCHINE has to be a killer. Looking over ...

Re: Holy Sh*t - Maschine update 1.6 brings VST/AU hosting !

This isn't meant to replace the DAW - though in some cases it will for some folks, but yet give users another truly AMAZING option without depending on the DAW so much, for a lot of our productions. What this 1.6 update does though is make Maschine a viable alternative to Ableton Live's session vie...

Re: FXpansion Geist (GURU 2) - NI Maschine killer ???

Again, its a workflow thing. I'm just REALLY wondering if its possible to create a MASCHINE or GEIST in Live with M4L. I mean, can't you change the UI in Live with M4L? Can't you completely use all of Live's processing power under the hood? Granted, I'm sure that the technical difficulty would be qu...

Re: Holy Sh*t - Maschine update 1.6 brings VST/AU hosting !

why are so many people on here acting like Maschine is a DAW replacement?? Yeah you will be able to load VSTs, but a list of all the DAW functions it still can't do would take pages to type. It's not even near Reason level functionality. Using it solely as your DAW would result in one very crippled...

Re: Holy Sh*t - Maschine update 1.6 brings VST/AU hosting !

Assuming that those page controls appear on Maschine's displays, I'll most likely be selling Kore. I wouldn't be so quick about that if I were you. The routing possibilities you could have when running Kore inside Maschine are pretty wack... Your Maschine forum moderator, ew Are these routing possi...
