Re: nerve vs maschine in ableton

Can Nerve record drums or is it limited to the mouse-driven pattern sequencing? The PDF doesn't seem to mention this.

EDIT: Never mind - this link explained it all pretty well. http://www.musictechtutorials.com/nerve ... teve-duda/

Re: nerve vs maschine in ableton

Ok -

I checked out the youtube videos and I gotta say that this looks mighty indeed. Gonna give the demo a drive. What features were added in the beta?

Re: nerve vs maschine in ableton

Flying Lotus made all his beats on Los Angeles in Reason, and for Cosmogramma in Reason and Live. No "need" for anything but talent and drive.

The best sequenced arp I have found that can drive other devices is actually in Kontakt. Kontakt can send it's midi out from it's arp, which is a full featured step sequenced arpeggiator.

This is great to know. Thanks.

Re: What's up with the Props???????????

I guess you're talking about the Live sampling feature coming to Ableton but honestly its hilarious to me to think Live has to catch up with anything in sampling - the whole damn program is a big sampler.... You know, I just think if Live incorporated that feature it would help refine the workflow....

Hmph.

All I got to say is that I'll be upgrading Reason from v1 and getting Record. IMNSHO, Ableton need to bite Blocks and the Sampling implementation.

Thanks for the replies. It's unfortunate that Live 8 still causes problems.

Live 8 30 day demo and Live 7 - friendly coexistence?

Hello,

I am wondering if Live 7 can exist peacefully with Live 8 demo without disturbing the Live 7 Library and installation. I would like to install the live 8 demo to see if it will be stable (enough) on my system.

Thanks,
