Re: LIVE 9 : PDC IMPROVED OR NOT ?

Please...I too would appreciate an explanation of this PDC problem and how I can recreate it. As I understand it, if I don't use too many external plug-ins I'm fine? As in, stacking Live effects has no effect on delay? I'd recommend checking out the post I made on page 3 with the picture. That shou...

Help with recording and processing audio live

Hello! I am trying to achieve something like this: http://vimeo.com/19926756 I would like to record audio onto a track that has a bunch of effects on it already, so once it's in the cell all kinds of weird things start happening - but I don't want the initial dry signal coming through. I feel like t...

Re: Library of Congress National Jukebox

I suppose you can't openly sample - stream only. But still... Some of these are very cool

Re: sTART/sTOP With Pedal

Near the main play/stop/record button there is a drop down menu. Select "record for x bars". That would do it.

I don't know if you can switch between those settings once you lay down your first loop but you can find a workaround using racks with a looper on each chain.

Recording loops into clips vs. using Looper

A basic question regarding live looping. How do you do it? Currently I have a template with 8 tracks all record enabled and I record into those using Launchpad. Is that an outdated method for pre-Live 8 days? Am I missing out on Looper's capabilities by using this "workaround" and recording into cli...

Re: Live looping video

I don't think that's it. Thanks for the link though - that's a useful tutorial.

I meant switching a lot between scenes (or banks) on the actual PK - Whoops. I can see how that would be confusing. You can see he is holding the "scene" button quite often.

Live looping video

Came across this live looping video that I thought was really cool:

http://vimeo.com/19934801

I don't quite understand what he's doing with the padkontrol to achieve his drum sounds. Seems like a lot of switching between scenes. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thank you!

Please give me feedback on this work in progress

http://soundcloud.com/soultwist Hello everyone! Still new to this...Check out "Dec 14" and please tell me what you think. I still need a lot of help with mixing and just getting around Ableton - particularly learning how to use the session view more effectively. I end up playing with my Launchpad, t...

Re: Everybody take a look at my lovely country...

The video clearly shows masked 'recreational rioters' throwing shit in the next shot. Sketchy, one sided broadcast aside, I refuse to believe that riot police turned these innocent protestors into window smashing, car burning maniacs. Most of these people are "thrill seekers" looking for something ...

STOP THE PRESS!! News just in from the greater toronto area.. http://www.donstalk.co.uk/messageboard/Smileys/dt_smileys/wanker.gif Except Toronto cops made over 100 arrests in the first day...NO arrests here? What the shit? Also, no injured cops. Why? Because they put these "recreational protestors...
