I'm quite fond of the idea behind Novation's most recent "Remote Audio". Basically, it's the same Remote 25 that's been around for a while, with an audio interface (a la Ozone), PLUS ---> it's now also a K-Station, not to mention it's a pretty well designed piece of kit, tons of knobs and faders, ve...

well I'm not quite sure I understand what you're saying. I simply want to trigger clips while in the arranger window, but it seems the clips don't respond to midi the way they do in session view.

I tried to do just that the other day but it only seemed to work in Session view, not in the Arranger, where after I hit the midi button, there was no response when clicking on a clip (no dark highlight around it)?

k', I figured it out in Session view, but is there no way to do this in Arranger mode as well? It's just that I never work in Session mode...

cool.

Nick, maybe I'm missing something here, as I tried what you said and well, it didn't work. By the way, does this only work in Session View or will the Arrange window do the trick? I clicked on the midi icon, clicked on a loop I have in the session, pressed C3 on my controller, unclicked the midi ico...

Nick, thanks for the tip! I can't wait to get home and try this! BTW, seems we write similar music, I posted some of mine in the 'post your music' thread. As for the diffferent windows in Live, I actually always use the Arranger view for everything, I'm just more comfortable with the linear 'sequenc...

thanks Pablo H, I realize the possibility of rewiring Reason into Live for triggering drum samples, but indeed, I was trying to see if it was possible to do this directly in Live, assigning note on/off values to the clips themselves, essentially using Live as a realtime sample playback module. Thank...

triggering samples from Live?

As in, assign keys to clips for realtime performing, or creating drum patterns, etc? I know I can assign mutes this way, but short of creating kits in Reason and ReWiring them into Live (for those time you just want to tap out a beat), I thought I had read that something to the effect that this was ...

Glad to hear it claudek, which version of Live and Panther are you running? I'm really thinking it's a Digidesign issue and I posted on their forum as well, hoping to find some answers. Again, thing seem better with Mac's audio out. I can't even have ONE reverb in my session without it locking up. N...

My first track in nearly 2 years, a new direction and I've gone quite minimal. It was arranged entirely in Live, using bits of cello and piano fragments, glitches and tv static.

Same here with Digi002 Rack - completely useless - not happy at all right now. Everything works fine with the Powerbook's internal sound, but Live 3.0.2 + Digi hardware in Panther 10.3.2 is less exciting than going to a tax seminar. So now I have to revert to working with headphones, since I have my...

J'ai installe Panther 10.3.2 il y a quelques jours et la performance de Live a bien souffert on d'irait, tout est plus lent, le 'beachball de merde' qui tourne sans cesse au moindre acti...
