Nah, I meant the sound is mushy. Not that I want to open that debate on this thread, it was simply an afterthought. The mixbuss in Live sounds like crap. Ok enough if it's the only one you've dealt with (sometimes I wish that were the case), but compared to Logic or PT, trying to get good separation...

I use the Arranger window all the time, no exception. I've worked on Cakewalk, Acid, Logic and ProTools and nothing beats Live in terms of fun and workflow. I know most people use the Session view but when I first got Live, I went to the Arranger right away and never looked back. Much easier to edit...

I`ve been thinking on getting a Indigo I/O because of portability. But without two outputs it cant be used for dj purposes.. Some applications let you choose a different output to cue with while the Echo outs feed the house system, which is why I went with the I/O. I just cue with the Powerbook's h...

yes, I do.

I mixed Red Robot's first EP and Vasili and I went to Miami WMC to promote some of our music (his own, my own, and our collaborative project called "Commuter")

New track made entirely in Live...

I have a new one called "Pink and Gold" Noisy, dark, electronic freeform mayhem, certainly the oddest track I've produced thus far, started as an experiment to move away from the norm and ended up with this. The ending bits will sound familiar to some... All done in Live. There's also "Bonk!", which...

I love going to the cafe and mess about with Live and Reason. As others have mentioned, I've also made quite a few friends that way, mostly other musos who glanced at the screen and just started chatting with me about music and software. Especially on nice days, I just can't focus by staying in the ...

Reaktor Session with Live?

I just downloaded the Reaktor Session demo, love the sounds and possibilities, but it keeps locking up after a few minutes of browsing through presets. I quite, reboot, try a different instrument/ensemble, by the time I hit the 4th or 5th preset, it just locks up again. This happens standalone or as...

...it dawned on me that I could simply select the Powerbook's headphone outs to cue, and the Echo outputs to the system. You can't do that within Live (Live doesn't support multiple soundcards). Go with the ECHO. Low power consumption, great sound. Cheap, Light. Comes with a gold tipped mini to 1/4...

That's what I thought...Too bad...If the indigo had INs, it would be a killer one...but then again...Its not meant to be used to record... well, you'd be thrilled to know that there's an "Indigo I/O". Same as the Indigo DJ but at the sacrifice of 2 stereo outs, you get a stereo in and one stereo ou...

still one important question stays unanswered; Q: Altivec and/or dual core optimized? A: _____________________________ Amen. Can we please, once and for all have an answer to this... Also, perhaps it's been asked before, but will it ever be possible to use VST effects and record from external sourc...
