Re: Live 9 browser NIGHTMARE !!!

I will never get get used to having a category 'vintage' as this is useless to me. I will never get used to not being able to sort my m4l plugs into categories as this just takes loner to find stuff, etc etc. these are things we need to put up with rather than get used to.

Re: what is your opinion on the new envelope curves>

you are right it would effect performance, i do think handles on curves are not neccesary. We just need enough control for the feature to actually be useful.

Re: what is your opinion on the new envelope curves>

yeah its better than it was but selling it as one of the main new features, hmm well its almost embarrassing. It not something i would use a huge amount so not overly bothered but I'm really surprised about ableton's approach to this & the browser. edit: ok yes crossfader maybe was better in prev ve...

Agree, not sure why ableton have only implemented such basic control, just seems like half a job to me. its not an especially difficult thing to do.

Re: Native Instruments vs. Live 9 ?

I like the tools/midi effects in m4l, i actually like the convolution reverb as well but yeah for what ever reason the synths & adio effects are not great.

Re: Granulator II

I don't get why Max for Live developers seem to have no regard for parameter order of the devices or how it would work with control surfaces. Maybe Max people are mouse only people a lot of the time or just midi mappers? Granulators as a page of parameters seemingly randomly organized. Same with th...

Re: Can anyone explain to me how to the new Live 9 Library works

I had high hope for the new Browser but I find it more and more confusing every time I use it. What i find most confusing is the multiple ways it can be browsed. This would be fine & even great if all roads led to Rome but they don't. Some stuff just doesn't appear where you would expect / want it....

Re: Native Instruments vs. Live 9 ?

Of course, if you factor in Max for Live vs Reaktor, M4L beats the hell out of Reaktor. M4L alone is worth the price of Live. Agree with most of what you have said apart from this. Reaktor has a far better library of effects & instruments than M4L and is more accessible to build your own stuff. M4L...
