Re: Waves Renaissance Bass FREE!

What I did was make an alias of the actual RBass.dll as well and put it in my vst folder. Then when I loaded Live I had to run the Waves licenser  In 'Plugins' in the browser Waveshell appears like a folder and then inside it is the RBass plug. That's what I tried too, making a shortcut/alias...

Re: Waves Renaissance Bass FREE!

How do I even run the thing now? I jumped through all the installation and licensing and registration and verification hoops, but now I only see the Waveshell VST installed, and when I add that to a track in Live, it doesn't seem to do anything. I see the device there, but nothing actually happens -...

Re: Comping Plug-In?

Whenever I've done this, I usually just end up using a bunch of dummy audio tracks, routing the audio to a main track (or using Grouping so they have all the same effects/bussing etc.) and manually chopping, then moving them all to the final keeper audio track when I'm done.

Re: DIVA 1.3 Beta

A bit offtopic, but is there a guide somewhere available (and i do not mean the user manual). Let me be honest about this.. i think Diva is hard to handle, compared to most other synths. For rookies is actually is too much to handle. Or, am i being too hard on myself? What are you having trouble wi...

Re: Kyma

This is the site from Kruddler outlining his experience with Kyma. Long and short of it seems to be that he ended up not having as much fun or productivity with it as he hoped.

Re: Kyma

Forum user Kruddler was on a quest for spectral processing and finally settled on a Kyma.

He had a blog about it - not sure where it is, but there was a thread on Spectral Processing that linked to it.

Why be happy when you can bitch about it instead of working around a mild inconvenience?

Re: Back on 8

Yeah, Live 9 has made me completely forgotten about stability issues from 8.

I'm probably jinxing myself, but I can't remember the last time I had a crash, even on the 9.1 betas

That was out of line. I apologize for the name calling. But I stand by the general point that complaining in the forum is not going to bring about the change that you're calling for.

Because you're carrying on in the forum like a whiny, entitled child and it's undermining your otherwise legitimate complaint?

Re: Sidechain everything? Why/why not?

[sigh] I remember the days when pumping was an unwanted side effect of using compression, and a sign that you were using too much. Now it seems to have been turned completely on its head, and it's seen as "cool" and something to aim for! 8O “Whatever you now find weird, ugly, uncomfortable and nast...

Thanks for the update Dennis. It's nice to get info/response right from the (figurative) horse's mouth.

Re: Analog Pulse Width

PW of 0 or 100% means the sound is effectively zeroed out - so if you are getting an identical sound to the square with PW of 0, it makes me think you have unison going, and the difference you hear is the oscillators getting in each other's way - and when you have the PW at (effectively) 0, you're n...

Re: How to do Daft Punk's: Get Lucky?

A synth will probably never get you there. Instead you'd need a bass and guitar player.
Trilian plus someone reasonably/with good rhythm chops on a keyboard can get pretty close to that kind of sound

Re: Push Cover / Stand

I've been using one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RI39XK/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also took a bunch of fake-wood wedge-shims from Home Depot taped together to create a sort of big doorstop shape. Using two of those, I have been extremely happy with the angle and stab...
