Workaround for timestretch sampling via MIDI Map

Useful workaround for time-stretched sampling (albeit sans sampler, and I assume it takes over your MIDI keyboard's keys you use for it)

This would have single-handedly saved me hours in the past if I'd known about it

Re: Why I will not make music with something like "push"

Completely unnecessary thread. And that's different from 3/4 of the threads on this board because why exactly? And re: the MIDI improvements, I agree there are definitely things that make the workflow better, and I am certainly happy with what they've changed. But really, I'd have a hard time disag...

Re: Thoughts on Push a few weeks on?

Almost everybody else I've talked to has had more stability and better performance with 9.

Sucks that's not the case for you.

Re: The Push section of the Live Manual is rubbish!

Additionally, if it would be possible for your team to come up with a nice one-page reference cheat sheet for which buttons have Shift or Select access (i.e. holding Shift to record-arm multiple tracks, etc.), or will change based on holding them (i.e. User controls for changing Velocity/Sensitivity...

Re: Why I will not make music with something like "push"

I find it strange that you two guys who know nothing about me or my circumstances decided to criticise and ridicule my post. Oh well whatever floats your boat, for me it's making music. lol owned. Some people find it easier shit on what they assume others' choices to be, than to say nothing at all ...

Re: Battery vs. Drum Racks?

It offers 4 knobs controlling velocity, tune, timing and volume randomisation. Again, thats for each drum sound of your kit. You could for instance have the bd fixed on he grid and only humanise the hats (more) and the snare (less). I was wrong in one point though. Theres also just delaying for tim...

I have been trying to figure out a good workflow with Battery and this seems like it could help i couldnt find anything as convinient and powerful as what ba...

Looks like the 1.2 Diva update will be free

I almost wish he would charge for it, so I didn't feel bad taking all their hard work for free

Re: Possible to select only specific notes to quantize?

Right, I'm wondering if it could be possible for someone to build that device, so I could for example put it on my hihat rack slot and leave Repeat off

Interesting.....

Re: Battery vs. Drum Racks?

I use Battery every now and again for the sound library, but in terms of functionality and workflow integration drum racks are the winners hands down

Re: Possible to select only specific notes to quantize?

Why don't you put an arpeggiator before your hihat? you cannot control the velocity, swing and speed like usual The repeat mode on Push is so much more playable than just the arp device Although that gives me an idea - I wonder if it would be possible to essentially rebuild the arpeggiator in Max f...

Re: Getting back to Pad sensitivity

I have the velocity curve Log currently set at the default one Change it to 3 or 5 rather than 1 1 is way too non-sensitive Pad sensitivity is the threshold for the pad actually firing, but it has zero bearing on velocity Velocity Curve changes how hard you have to hit it to get higher velocities H...

Re: Possible to select only specific notes to quantize?

Similarly, is it possible to enable repeat for only a single pad?

I would love to be able to keep a hihat 16th note run going by holding down the pad while still being able to put in beats on the kick and snare off-grid

Re: i got ZEBRA2 today

Zebra2 is hands down my most often used softsynth. I love it.

There are a lot of great tutorials out there for it, too - be sure to check them out.

I find lots of people using it in lots of ways that I never would have thought of myself.
