An Intel iMac would be a good stop gap solution IMO. thats what I'm thinking....but arent there performance issues with mac and live ? as in it seems that if you put a pc and mac side by side, with the same spec, live works better on the pc? also....what will happen to my vst collection if I go for...

well...you need an audio interface, preferably with at least two stereo outputs. for example, you could treat one output as the left deck, and the other output as the right deck...and connect them to your mixer as such. then in live, you dictate to which output each audio or midi tracks sends its so...

zfigz....you could always render your drum hits with the effects you like, and load them up as new drum samples...freeing up cpu, and obviously saving the live-set you used prior to rendering, should you wish to make any eq changes to the samples later
