Why the big opposition? what is so scary about more Live reliability? Why are some of you cats "trying" to kick my ass? 8O It may seem like that but the question isnt really reliability, I think its cpu useage. Lets face it (and I dont think anyone would deny) that Live is a bit heavy on the cpu sl...

I had to titter at your comment that tracking/editing/arranging and mixing is all pro tools can do. This is not enough or important? For mixing/audio editing and linear arranging P...

Re: Live 4.14 fits like the ripped pajamas you never threw away

For example, remember when the cursor in the arrange window played from where the little triangle was at the top, and only from that spot? Now it plays from wherever you last clicked! And remember when clicking someone on a clip didn't tell Live to start playing from that part of the clip...all it ...

Sub you can use multi band compression on the master in fact thats its prime use. A mixdown in need of eq and multiband compresion is not nescessarily a result of a bad mixdown.
with due respect you really need to read up what mastering engineers have been doing and using for years.

nothing special i would imagine just keep it away from liquids obviouly and make sure your system is 100& before you play. Its also a good idea to have your set backed up on another drive or cd if it will fit and take replacement cables and an assortment of adaptors. What you dont think you will nee...

Re: HELP!! Ableton in the theatre - audio dropouts!!!

Allo all, I'm running Live 4 off my Powerbook 1.5 (512ram) through my Digi002 Rack (thus through the Digi CoreAudio Driver). All audio is being streamed from a Lacie 7200rpm FW drive. Essentially we're using Live as a big FX unit, to sync all playing singing to tempo for delays, and triggering loop...

Btw, when i say many sources the scenario would be something like your sitting in your studio probably struggling (as we all do) to add some new element and then you think what would so and so add here. The more virtual producers you have in your head the better. You get the idea? This is not steali...

i have only been producing for about 2 years now, so i am always glad when i hit the right note with my production. one of the things i am still working on is finding my own sound and pushing myself to come up with new ideas that are still playable (for me as a dj), but that push my own boundaries....
