Re: how can i get tempo LED feedback on the APC40?

You can do it without max for live if you'd like, have the APC40 set up as a midi controller with remote for the output set to on... Create a midi track with a clip of one beat long and set the output of that track to the apc40.... Draw one note into the clip.... Then move it up the scale until it'...

quick access to presets?

what's your best way of calling up presets quickly while you're in performance? right now i'm just gathering up some of my favourite presets into its own folder using windows explorer. i imagine that for instrument racks i could institute some kind of patch switching, but it looks like the browser i...

transposing a set of samples in a drum rack

i am trying to put together a bunch of different drum rack presets, into one mega drum rack. i can't figure out how to move a previous set of samples upwards on the grid. otherwise they just keep overlapping or overwriting each other.

how can i get tempo LED feedback on the APC40?

I know on the launchpad this is a bit more straightforward with the user mode. i'd like to make one of my buttons light up to the tempo of the music. i do have max4live which should be of help here.

Re: oxygen sustain pedal for multiple loopers

My impression is, with the user remote scripts, you're stuck with what they gave you. You could put your looper in a rack, and map the CC's (or notes or whatever) from your foot switch to the 'device encoders' in the script. That should get you what you want (if I'm following you, that is). Hello! ...

Re: oxygen sustain pedal for multiple loopers

hi there, i still need help with this. i want to have loopers on about four tracks. the record button is mapped to a footswitch. then it will only activate on the track that is selected. i have one workaround for this, which is to use the footswitch with my apc40 to control clips, but i like the ove...

this device fits this need.
ok well maybe you can tell me what sort of tasks a live-looping musician would use max4Live for? that would maybe help me decide a little better :)

Re: Poll: Upgrade to Live 8 Suite or Max For Live...

does m4L assist with any live looping tasks? if so, how does it help? i already have the suite but am considering the m4l upgrade. what do you need exactly? not really sure, but for starters the built-in looper pedal bakes sounds in. so if i do a quick loop of drums, bass and vocals, i can't mute o...

relooping techniques

i'm wondering if anyone has any examples of sets that make good use of relooping. what i mean is: having your first looper capture basic sounds, but then run that through some effects. then a second looper captures the effected part. shouldn't be too hard to set up, but i'd like to see examples and ...
