Re: Any way to make touchpad on Macbook Pro into a XY contro

Hi interceptor, There's a product called TouchPad2Midi which does allow you to configure a synaptics touch pad into 4 discrete channels of ctrl chg, prg chg and note on/off. Here's the link: http://www.livelab.dk/touchpad2midi.php I'm not sure if there is a mac version but it's not bad for what it d...

I asked some questions about the TonePort Plugin in the Line 6 forum. I think that the following may shed a little light. For the record I have a TonePort UX2 and I'm not impressed by the upgrade price of the plugin. In my opinion it's like paying for the unit again. The following was taken from the...

I've only seen the unit in print but for $300US you can't go wrong. Besides all the other features mentioned it also has a variety of Zoom guitar, bass and amp sims on board as well as dynamics on the input channels. If I had the cash I'd buy one in a heart beat. Before I migrated all my stuff to Li...

hi Chris, This is new knowledge to me. My processor is indeed a D830 3GHz, so according to you HT would not work. Weird thing is I am able to enable/disable HT in the BIOS. It's an option in the CPU configuration page; it's just there: Hyper-threading Technology [Enabled]. Weird. It's not a huge de...

that's a great point raised and makes plenty of sense. thanks. is it only version 6 that allows you to swtich off the follow mode or can earlier versions too? I've only been a user of Live5 and later but scrolling was selectable in Live5 and I would assume the same for previous version but you know...

Hi, I've seen a number of posts over the last year on the Hyper-Threading issue. I posted a reply last night about a related issue. I have a P630 3GHz that is HT'd and I have never experienced any problems with it being on. I have also read various software vendor tech docs that also support the fac...

I've got a couple of observations regarding this topic. My desktop (about 1 year old) is a P630 3GHz w/HT enabled and 1 gig of ram. My laptop (about 6 months old) is a T2400 Centrino Duo 1.83GHz and 1 gig of ram. The desktop unit has never caused and problems regarding Live603 or previous versions. ...

Hi, Yes I believe that you are correct. The midi spec lays it out in the proper technical jargon. On the XP platform there are programs like Midi Translator or Midi-ox which are great tools and I'm sure there must be something for the Mac. The above mentioned programs allow you to type in either the...

I know it won't help Mac OS users but there's a great utility for Windows called Super which converts everything to anything both audio and video.

Check it out at http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html#Down.

Hi John, I've got the same set-up (01x/Live603). I use the Cubase emulation on the 01x. As far as Live midi prefs are concerned I've only ever used MackieControl so I'm not sure what you mean regarding the MC Classic script. Anyway, based on the above setting the 01x indicator leds behave as follows...

I've been using Live for about a year with an 01X and I'm very happy with the performance. I checked out M-Audio's ProjectMix at the time and it was far easier to configure into the system not to mention it just looked better...ya know with those long 100mm motorized faders and what not.
