Thanks Chris, Robertas. Cubase mode definitely works much better than General mode. I can see the track names, the solo / rec rdy buttons do what you'd expect. Chris, I saw somewhere else on the forum that you'd made a file listing what the buttons map to - do you still have it? The link didn't wor...

Hi Tim, I'm using the same set-up. Through trial and error I have found the Cubase emulation to work the most accurately on the 01x. The 01x manual lists the functions that work. The only major issue are the function keys on the 01x. I think a couple of them work. I use Bome's MidiTranslator to map ...

Yamaha 01X Emulation Enhancement Request

Us 01x users should submit an enhancement request to Ableton to escalate the 01x emulation. They have over 30 emulations in L6 but no 01X. I just recently saw a request for the uc33e emulation and it was added within a week....WTF! If there are enough 01x/Ableton users I can't see why they wouldn't ...

Yamaha 01X / Live Emulation

I'm attempting to use the 01x and mouse to control all the parameters that I use in Live. Needless to say, vendor supplied controller emulations for the 01x are far and few between if you know what I mean. I'm using Bome's Midi Translator to do the mapping. Midi-ox is another good midi tool but Bome...

Hey Jett, I too am attempting to use the 01x and mouse to control all the parameters that I use in Live. Needless to say, controller emulations for the 01x really sucks the big one.....if you know what I mean. As longjohns pointed out, Bome's Midi Translator is what I have been using to do the mappi...

Thought so......but thanks for the reply..... I am using Bome's MT and although the "alt" and "shift" key appear to map they won't trigger from my control surface. My goal was to put as many one press keys on the control surface. Regards Chris PS - I was going to just purchase the wisemix product as...

Hey Patch,

I don't know if your crossfade routine was directed at my question but I'll give it a go next time I need it....what I do want to know is if the computer keyboard "alt" and "shift" keys can be mapped or triggered via a note on midi message?

Any thoughts???????

Regards
Chris

Hi hambone1, I am having a hell of a time trying to map the "alt" and "shift" keys in Live 52. I want to trigger them using my controller (yam 01x) using a translator. Every other documented key maps without issue. I know that they work as a modifiers but Live seems to not what to acknowledge from a...

The big advantage of just having programs on a single smaller partition is that you can blow that away every so often as Windows corrupts itself. Nebulae, Your comment on the O/S going south...I go through a daily ritual after booting that eats up about 5 hours a month. Does the drive image concept...
