Re: Native Instruments just ripped off Push big-time, ha!

Plus this seems to rely a lot on touch strips. Nobody seems to have gotten this right yet, including Push. It's just too easy to get weird unmusical jumps in continuity. If you had a modwheel or fader that acted like that, you take the hardware back, because you'd think it was broken. I avoid using ...

Re: Nektar LX 61 User Remote Script isn't recognized

You could try adding it to the app resources. I only know how to do that on a Mac. If you right click on the Live app and select "Show package contents," there is a folder for midi scripts:
Contents > App-Resources > Midi Remote Scripts.

Adding it there might work.

Re: PrEditor - Parameter Editor for Push 1 & 2 & Others...

Thanks. I think it's the difference between parameters and macros that have the parameters assigned to the macros. I think I'll have to try this when it's released to figure out what I'm trying to say.

Re: PrEditor - Parameter Editor for Push 1 & 2 & Others...

So if I map a Reaktor instrument like Rounds it will be able to keep this mapping if I change presets in Rounds? And also work if I have multiple instances in Rounds?

If so, this is pretty amazing.

Re: Muting individual drum rack pads from Push.

Thanks - I thought I had tried that. So holding the mute button and pressing a drum pad toggles the mute on and off for the pad, which is what I want. But holding the mute button puts in in lock mode, but not for pads. Once locked, pressing a pad mutes and unmutes the whole drumrack, which is not wh...

Muting individual drum rack pads from Push.

I know I can mute the whole rack from Push using the mute button, but is there a way to mute individual pads from Push (1 or 2). I'm imagining having having a midi clip playing a drum rack, and being able to turn on and off each drum sound in the clip by muting and unmuting the pad. I can do this wi...

Re: Using multiple Push controllers

Just tried using Isotonik Launchsync Pro XL with my Push 2 as the master and Push 1 as the slave. So far working pretty well. One issue is that I can put the Push 1 in Session view and trigger clips while Push 2 is in Note mode playing notes on a VST on a different track. However, as soon as I launc...

Using Push 1 and Push 2 together.

I know there are some problems associated with this. Is anyone doing this and how have you configured things.

Ideas?

Re: My Tinnitus horror story

This is clearly a loss, as it would be for any musician, let alone any human. On the other hand, everyone will get hearing loss as they age: both the low end and the high end get rolled off as we get older. All I can say is "well that sucks." Part of the deal with dealing with a loss is being carefu...

Re: Live 9.6 - Half of Suite Library Missing in Browser

I posted about this in another thread. I'm not sure if it's happening to everyone, but Live did a whole lot of reindexing after I upgraded to 9.6. At first I thought it was just my personal folders, but then I realized a lot of stuff seemed missing out of Live's library. Several hours later everythi...

Re: Indexing Files and Libraries after Updating to 9.6

Anyway, several hours later and it looks like everything is back to normal. Not sure why Live reindexed so much stuff, even it's own libraries, but everything looks OK again.

Re: Indexing Files and Libraries after Updating to 9.6

Even weirder, after about 15 minutes, Index is back up to 98%. Plus, I'm seeing Live 9's Library itself is being reindexed (Drum Racks, etc.)

Curious if anyone else is seeing this.

Re: Indexing Files and Libraries after Updating to 9.6

I was about to disagree about being done by the Super Bowl, but then I saw you wrote 2017, so, maybe.

I wonder why Live is reindexing so many things.
