I also miss his random and quirky interjections. Also, I miss his skeleton signature.

Re: Knock some scent's into me - Recommend me some cologne

Versace Pour Homme is excellent, my current favourite. Other regulars on the roster are Acqua Di Gio (as already mentioned by a few), and Issey Miyake.

Just run

Code: Select all

strings
on the Live executable (in Cygwin for Windows, or in OS X) - more evidence of OpenGL.

Re: Last FM?

Last.fm was a great site until they sold up to CBS. Now they're just a racket. I disagree completely. I love Last FM. Go there and type in Monolake and kick back listening to tons of great music. See, I'd love to do just that, but I'm in Australia and now you have to pay even just for Last FM radio...

Re: Snow Leopard Watch (compatibility page)

Anyone had any issues with Omnisphere, Kore and/or NI Komplete and Alchemy? Kore 2 and NI Komplete 5 work well. I didn't even do a fresh install so far since I just wanted to try it out. So far all of my software except Onyx work well. I am very impressed as to how snappy everything seems on my Mac...

Re: Just preordered snow leopard

No way I'm taking the plunge for a few months... not until all the inevitable problems it causes for other software are ironed out. Having said that, I applaud them for making it such a cheap upgrade from Leopard! And the OpenCL stuff is quite intrigung.

Re: wtf?? Great new synth only available in Aus??

What's the general British opinion on Ricky Ponting, out of curiosity? I'm an Aussie and I don't think much of him, but I imagine he must be universally-despised over there. Having said that, he shouldn't be sacked as some are calling for. If only we'd won that first test... *sigh*. Ah well, you poo...

Re: Ableton Suite 8.0.4 AiR available | Copy protection useless?

Indeed, otherwise there will be no Live 9... But why do they try to win the forlorn fight by developing more complex protection algorithms every new version?!? At the expense of performance! Can you provide evidence that copy-protection affects Live's performance? I don't understand what relevant c...

Lol... true. But the other movie-goers were already offended enough at what they were watching, and I didn't want to heighten their anxiety by spreading my toe-jam around the cinema.

Re: Abletons Piano Roll

Well, hang on just a sec. The guy got his question answered in the first reply (albeit brusquely). Then he responded by insulting people who don't have enough musical knowledge like him to be able to tell the difference between sharps and flats (ha!). Since then, the thread devolved into bollocks. I...

Re: Transformers 2 a bust?!?

Disgraceful film, on every quantifiable axis of measurement. 0/10. No stars. Etc.

Fortunately, I got free tix from my brother who works at the cinemas, so all I lost was my time. It was still a high price to pay... clearing out your toe-jam would be a better investment.
