Re: viewing effects for multiple channels at one time

I seem to remember there's a setting to allow VSTs to display if the channel isn't selected. I'm at work so I can't look for it now but I will tonight. Out of interest, what happens when you select more than one channel at once? E2A - Just re-read that you're looking at macros, so displaying multipl...

Got a minute to test a possible new timing problem?

This should be really simple, it'll only take a couple of minutes. Hopefully we can get a picture of this issue and see if it's just a few people affected or lots. Or just me. :) (Edited to add: check my post later about sample accurate timing at different BPMs. Also, try this test at 145BPM. Ignore...

Re: Recorded audio out of time

I have a project I sent to support, but it is really, really simple. gibson_ewok, thanks for your suggestion. It went 99.9% of the way to solving the problem. Unfortunately I've found a new, subtle and cumulative timing problem with loop recording. In fact, it's a set of problems. Seems to be an Abl...

Re: z3ta+ for $20

I saw a masterclass with producer from Pendulum. He used Z3ta for basslines. I've always rated this synth. The presets say it all - loads of crisp classic dance sounds, some weirdness and a really satisfying level of tweakability. The options for distorting the original waveform are one of the best ...

Re: Recorded audio out of time

Thanks gibson_ewok. I'll give that a go... It would mean that I'd have to create a new 'mixer' track if I was bouncing multiple tracks, but it would be far preferable to the current situation. Ableton support said they 'couldn't recreate' the problem. Seems not to be a common bug/feature. I was hopi...

Re: Recorded audio out of time

1: I'll set the output of track A to be track B, then arm track B and set it to receive.

2: I'll then set loop markers around the audio I want to capture.

3: I'll set the play cursor to the beginning of the loop, click record, then click play.

Re: Is Suite worth it?

SIR is a good, free convolution reverb if that's your kinda thing. I got the suite very recently and it's been good to me so far. Sampler is great - it imports patches from other soft samplers so sample CDs with multi-sample instruments are suddenly more open to me. Patches are simple to build... I ...

Recorded audio out of time

I've had Live for a while and upgraded to 8 recently. At around the same time, I changed my production technique. These days, rather than build up layers and layers of soft synths and drum machines, I'll get a sound I like and bounce it down. The new folders combined with groups and make this a more...
