Re: GANGNAM STYLE
Say what you will about PSY, but you have to admit, the guy has conviction, and has it in spades. That's something that you cannot fake.

Hey Nick! Good to see you around again. I'm not sure what they're using in that video, but I found this: http://www.elationlighting.com/pdffiles/flex-tape-led-cutsheet-rev.pdf I don't know how the Flex LED Tape would handle fades and variable brightness, but it appears that they have some DMX support.

Re: in what genre is most of the money?
Personally, I’d rather have a lousy non-music related job than be a professional musician that makes terrible things. I don’t want to be a session musician and help people make bad music. I don’t want to make crappy music for a crappy video games. I find that the sound design for TV and movies is 99...

Speaker wire question - Tone Deft in the house?
I just bought some speaker wire for my home stereo, and I have a question. I bought two 100 foot spools of four conductor wire. I'm running wire from the living room to a pair of speakers in the kitchen, and another line to a pair of speakers in the bathroom. With any luck I'll be able to listen to ...

Are you using the soundcard that's built into your computer, or are you using an external audio interface?

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta soon...
It seems to me that Bitwig was created for the fringe of hardcore Live users who whined for things like clip automation, Linux support, and crap like that. I don't know how much money there is in that fringe, and I don't care. But last I checked, Linux users were not interested in paying for anythin...

Searching for stuff on Netflix stream is usually a dead end let down. You're better off looking at what actually is available, rather than searching for things that most likely are not.

Re: iPad
Surface Pro makes me realize that having a full, functioning, touch optimized OS X on a tablet would be cool. Consumption is only a small, part of what I like to do on computers, and to get the whole enchilada, Apple makes you switch from machine to machine. An expensive sounding kickstand? No. Runn...

Re: PROMETHEUS
Well, this thread stated she was a robot, and I believed it. :| Remember how she had the fancy escape pod quarters on the ship, with the surgury machine? But then that chick gets in there, and it says that it was only programmed to operate on men? So the surgury machine is for Papa Weyland, and no n...

Re: PROMETHEUS
My problems with the flick: Opening scene was neat, until the dude had the token "agonizingly fast transformation into a beast" CGI. Beyond cliche. A few minutes into the film I am reminded of Ang Lee's Hulk. THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING. I thought the dust storm was neat, and David's rescue was cool, b...

Sad. Those cases would've never gotten past Steve. No way in hell. In fact, I bet he poo-pooed that very design, and when he was out of the way, out came the crappy cases.
Wrong. Apple will do what ever it pleases when ever it pleases....depending on consumer spending we may soon see...

Re: iPad
Honeymoon is over. Until the MacBook Pro with Retina display has a matte screen option, I'll never buy one. As in, I will not give Apple a dime as long as it has a glass screen. Ive proudly proclaims that they cut down glare by 70%. Great. It's 30% hideously useless.
