A solution for the "Delete clip button missing" problem!

Hello, There are many threads such as this one about the fact we cannot delete a clip in session view from a MIDI controller. There are some workarounds with M4L (I haven't tested), or with Bomes, etc. Here is an easy solution for Launchpad : 1. Just launch this miditokey.exe (only 197 KB) and that'...

Controller for "Looper" device

Hi, I just MIDI-mapped 4 instances of Looper devices (to have a multi-track looper, RC505 style!) to buttons of a hardware Launchpad. It works great, except that you don't know easily which Looper is recording, playing, overdubbing, etc. Question: is there a way to make the Launchpad pads light in r...

Key shortcut to stop clip under cursor in session view

There is a key shortcut to START the clip under cursor in Session view: ENTER. Is there a key shortcut to STOP the clip under cursor? Of course I could assign a keyboard shortcut to stop any clip in the session view, but this would request one key per clip, so it's not what I want. of course I could...

Thanks!
Is there some feedback about this @102455? :)

Single key to record the next clip ?

Let's say you are jamming, and you want to stop recording of the current clip, but immediately start recording of the next clip (in the next scene). Is there a way to do this with just one keyboard key press or MIDI note (to avoid to stop playing, returning to computer, interrupt the flow, then rest...

Re: PC users in the Live10 beta team, is WASAPI supported?

This knowledge base post claims that WASAPI drivers are "rarely used", and that no support is planned. No idea when it was posted though. https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209068889-Unsupported-Windows-audio-driver-types-WASAPI-WaveRT- Yeah I also read that. Of course we rarely use it (we ...

Re: Low latency out of the box in Live10 for Windows?

Just buy a decent audio interface! What's that saying about "you can't polish a t**d"...? You obviously didn't read the topic - I own a MOTU 828 MK3, and sometimes use a RME too. It's not about that. It's about the fact that it's technically possible (thanks to WASAPI) to have low latency, even wit...

Re: PC users in the Live10 beta team, is WASAPI supported?

Thanks for having looked at it.

Benefit: WASAPI should be multi-client, i.e. you can go from Live to Soundforge without having to disable audio in Live each time you do ALT+TAB.

PC users in the Live10 beta team, is WASAPI supported?

I mean are there new options like WASAPI here? If you're a PC users in the Live 10 beta team, could you check? Thanks in advance :) (bonus: it would not transform your laptop's realtek built-in soundcard into a RME, but it would at least make it much lower latency). Many DAW have it already . https:...

Re: Low latency out of the box in Live10 for Windows?

WASAPI will not make from a realtek onboard card a RME.. if that would happen, there would be no market anymore. Of course I'm not speaking about transforming a laptop Realtek (with just a 3.5mm out jack) into an 192khz 24bit audio interface with 8 or 16 balanced 6.35mm line inputs, with mic input ...

Re: Low latency out of the box in Live10 for Windows?

Of course it's low latency. It's a professional DAW. However, you'll only achieve low latency if you use an equally professional audio interface. This is a very bad choice if they still neglected this aspect for version 10. We're not in 2007 anymore. Bedroom producers with nearly no gear can become...

Low latency out of the box in Live10 for Windows?

Does Live 10 for Windows have low latency out of the box ? Even with a laptop's built in soundcard? i.e. no need to use Asio4all (which is not multiclient which is problematic) Note: It's available in many DAW (e.g. Reaper), thanks to support of WASAPI that offers low latency out of the box with Win...

Re: People with Windows 10 and a recent laptop, do you ...

I don't know what would have changed in the last few years where it'd be any different from before. Usually always requiring asio4all for built in cards at low latency. @yur2die4: There are some changes: Win10, Wasapi allowing lower latency (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers...

Re: People with Windows 10 and a recent laptop, do you ...

I think it's really going to depend on what soundcard come built into the laptop. There's a lot of variability there, so not too sure how much your question is going to help you I'm afraid. @Tarekith: it would help me a lot in fact :) I'm about to change my laptop, and if someone told me "I have a ...
