.
I have to correct myself:
it is possible to send CCs in steps of 12.

That knob on LX1 you mean? Yes, it´s endless.
Stong feelings - No. I don´t use it much ´cause my sets are not that big.
I find it hard to scroll exact, especially when doing lots of other thing at the same time but with a little practise it could be the thing you are looking for.

I've had problems with daisy chaining firewire stuff in the past, if I out a drive and my motu828mkii together on the same bus 8 track of audio brought the system to it's knees and crashed every time. I think it had to do with the amoutn of data the motu has going on the bus, it seems to be quite a...

is it true that on the lx1 you can't save any banks of presets?
Yes, I think it is true. You have to save all in Live, but what´s the prob with that?

sorry. its crap. What's the point? The "remix' in the middle? You could slice ANY two movies together and point out that people blink, turn their heads and glare. But why would you want to? And comparing two epics is easy. That's why its a genre of movie unto itself. Then you take two Sci/Fi films....

In my manual it says that it can send CC messages but only CC-max or CC-min. As far as I understand it, it is meant as an equivalent to note on/off for other programs than Live. Got my LX2 for a few hours now and it rocks... so does the LX1. The leds are ... so useful (and sexy, glowing faintly when...

You can use the knob to navigate tracks or scenes which is toggled by pressing the knob.

For just triggering you're better off with a faderfox LX1
The LED's are great for status feedback.

You could have it as a 4-bar count-in with a follow-action to turn it off. Percussionloop you mean? What I wanted to say is that I like passages or breakdowns without drums at all. How do you keep those in time? In my case hen the drummer is playing you can hardly hear the click anyway´cause it´s s...

you can always use a drumloop as click instead of the metronome. Suckiness-reduction ;) I think it´s best if everybodey has a click ´cause it sucks when there is always some percussion or drumloop running. It also was a relief for me when I forced my mates to use headphones with a click track. I no...

Digital distortion comes out of nowhere.
I only have a very old oxygen with two knobs broken off but maybe I should invest in an interface?!?

I´m playing drums with four channels of Impulses which I route to four buses. Should work for loops as well. This is how the buses are set up: 1st - clean 2nd - delay 3rd - filter 4th - beat repeat All sends of all channels are controlled by buttons, so I can swith them to full send immediately. Whi...

Z-Maschine - real liveact

Ok, the first three tracks were done in studio (one with logic back in the days... guess which), but the three snippets are first takes out of our practise room.

It´s a keyboarder, a bassman and me drumming, and it´s all played live! No loops!

Check out http://www.z-maschine.de/!

snapshot function for Impulse, live-effects/groups

As I have different Impulses for snare and HH it occurs that I change two parameters per Impulse for a break. I often find it difficult to get the sounds back in shape in time, because I usually have only one hand free to control lives parameters. The other limbs are needed for drumming the hell out...
