create 8 tracks that grab the audio of one beat repeat each
create an empty effect rack on each of the tracks
set chain range different on each empty rack
assign all chain selectors to one knob

I didn´t try it but it should work :)

This should work: create a "dummy track" for each channel, set monitor to "in" create an empty effect rack for each dummy track set different chain ranges on each rack and map every chain selector to the same knob group the dummy tracks and set group output to "sends only" choose the group track as ...

Go study some biotech thing and develop that "brain to midi interface" we are all waiting for, preferably with a single usb port in the head. :)

Seriously: computer science and electronic engineering sound like a good point to start.

assuming that you use proper drum samples, try and pull the volume of the other tracks down. Your drums then will be loud and banging compared to the rest.
