Thanks for the replies. Yes, I know I can change midi note assignments to pads on my V Drums. That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid doing though, because there are a finite number of user kits, whereas if this is set up in software the amount of user kits is infinite. The midi Scale effect is good...

Can Live map incoming midi notes to other notes and chs?
Can Live map incoming midi notes to other notes and chs? In Logic I am able to do this with Logic's mapped instrument, which is superb for my V Drums - I can quickly set up a kit playing sounds from several different instruments in Logic. Is there any way to do this in Live? Also, using Logic's Touc...

Can Live send a program change to an external device?
ie can Live send/receive midi to/from external sound modules?
I want to set up a program change at a certain point in a song, in order to change patches on my V Drum kit.
Is this possible?
And..there's no event editor for midi, is there?

Qs re Downloading Live 4 with a slow connection
I want to upgrade to Live 4 (from Live 3) but I only have a slow connection (not Broadband). This cuts me off after 2 hours so the maximum download I can do is about 23 meg. What's the best way to do this? If I pay from this computer can I download from another computer, but still use the download o...

noisetonepause, you're a star. i didn't realise you could do that, didn't think to try. now i can use my olde fave, sinebeats again. none of this works in logic. logic's clock fails to restart the sequences in Reaktor4 at the right time when looping. The only way I could get any success was in OS9 l...

Live/Reason looping. Reason stops every 64 bars for 1 bar.
Live/Reason looping. Reason stops every 64 bars for 1 bar. (starts again after 1 bar). But only seems to happen at 80 BPM. Change to 79,81,160,200,384 BPM and it doesn't happen. Can anyone else try this, please? Please remember to post your system spec. TiBook 1GHZ 1Gig Ram 10.2.6 Live 3.0.2 Reason ...
