Re: Can't fucking loop this thing !!!!!

Try these - just a quick rough job... mp3 project (8.22) One of you clips is a bit short. Nice one but you changed the entire musical content.. sure you got skills but that was not quite what i had in mind, this beat is but 10% done.. (the two main samples, the way i chopped them, also go outta syn...

Re: Can't fucking loop this thing !!!!!

I don't know, still kinda outta sync I think? I need the first few seconds to sound exactly like they do. Except when it goes outta sync, nah I don't need that. It's not so much the drums (other than they loop with the audio samples) - its more the 2nd audio track that needs to coincide perfectly wi...

Can't fucking loop this thing !!!!!

Hey brothers;) I'm having trouble looping this beat, since all clips are of different lengths. (I work in session) Here it is, Live 8.1: http://tinyurl.com/6xluej7 The first scene is the original. It captures the essence with which I want to continue working on, but after a few seconds the looping g...

Audiophile USB sounding very distorted

Hey! My Audiophile used to work great. Now though I get this distorted / crackling / bitreduced type of sound that makes it impossible for me to work. Don't matter whether I use Winamp, a DAW or whatever. Version 1.0.0.20 (Audiophile_6_0_1_5_10_0_5131.exe) on Windows 7 (MacBook Pro - Bootcamp). What...

Producing in double time - inspiring / liberating feeling??

I've seen a lot of producers rave about what an inspiring / liberating feeling it is to produce in double time. What does this mean really - what's all the fuzz about?

Re: Layering kick drums

Thanks scutheotaku! I'm curious about the actual layering process in Drum Rack though. Should both drums start at the same time, or should the 2nd drum start where the 1st one ends? If the latter, how is this achieved? Should I use crossfading? Should I use anything else? I'm a big fan of SP-1200.ad...

Layering kick drums

So I'm trying to design my very own kickdrum. I came across QuantizeCourse's Kick Layering article , but I'm not sure if it's for me. Basically I'm trying to do this: Gearslutz.com - View Single Post - J DILLA DRUMS Or like the SonicSpecialists - Urban Fire 6 demo . So I took: kick_1.mp3 kick_2.mp3 ...

Re: Drum layering question (kicks)

Basically I'm trying to do this: Gearslutz.com - View Single Post - J DILLA DRUMS Or like the SonicSpecialists - Urban Fire 6 demo . So I took: kick_1.mp3 kick_2.mp3 into their own Drum Rack chains on the same pad, and started playing around. It came out sounding like: new_kick.mp3 new_kick_mixed.mp...

Re: Drum layering question (kicks)

Interesting approach Tone Deft.

Anyhow I just found a rack for layering my kicks. What y'all think? Does it have any shortcomings?

Drum layering question (kicks)

Hello!

I'm trying to create my own kicks. What I want to do is to take the attack from a kick I've sampled, and layer it with the decay, sustain and release of say a TR-808 kick. How do I do this with a Drum Rack?
