Sustain pedal not working in ableton midi

Hey guys,

Im trying to record MIDI using patches from my Roland Fantom G keyboard. However, when I try to record, the sustain from my pedal doesn't get recorded a lot of the time. In contrast, sometimes notes sustain even after my foot has left the pedal. Any idea as to why this is happening?

Re: Strange loud warped noise when audio track armed

I do have headphones plugged into the 'Phones' output of the Fantom. Seeing as Im using the Fantom as my audio interface, I couldn't think of how else to get any sound out. Would that make a difference?

Re: Strange loud warped noise when audio track armed

Nope no mic plugged in. Can audio actually be transmitted from a keyboard such as this, via USB?

If so, what could be causing this feedback??

Re: Spreading drum rack chopped sample across keyboard/MPD

Hey thanks for your reply. I already have a sample chopped up and in a Drum Rack. But the video doesn't tell me how I can trigger the slices using the pads of an MPD or the keys of a keyboard, with each slice assigned to a particular pad or a particular key. Kinda like an MPC. Anyone know how I can ...

Re: Strange loud warped noise when audio track armed

Hey thanks for your reply. The signal goes straight from the Fantom to the laptop via USB. In the ableton audio track, audio goes from Ext 1/2, to Ext 1/2. Although I get the feedback no matter what options I choose in the 'Audio From ' and 'Audio To' sections. I was just wondering whether it may be...

Strange loud warped noise when audio track armed

However when I arm an audio track in ableton, I immediately get a really loud noise, that gets increasingly louder. Its hard to explain the sound, it just sounds really warped and incr...

Huge white noise issue

Hey guys, When I plug my audio interface (m-audio fast track pro) usb into my laptop, and arm an audio track in ableton, I get a HUGE amount of white noise, and I have no idea why. The audio interface is plugged in via midi and audio cables to a Roland Fantom keyboard. Its then connected to a laptop...

VST to make drums heavier/harder?

Hey guys,

Was wondering if you could recommend any good VSTs that could make my drums hit harder, and louder. Voxenga Boogex is pretty good but it gives too much distortion as well.

Thanks x

Re: Problem...please help!

Hey guys thanks for your replies. Yes all the samples are also backed up too thankfully. However, once I install ableton onto my new laptop, will I need to format it so that it is able to recognise that these samples actually do exist on the computer (eg tell it where to look for these samples) or w...
