Re: Software for trimming multiple audio files at once

Hi there, I need to trim a lot of wave files, so they are only 40 seconds long. Can anyone recommend software that easily can do this? I know I could render all tracks in Live, but then I would have to rename all the files to the correct names, which would be a painful process. Best regards, Nikola...

Re: Battery vs. Drum Racks?

I like battery because of the quick articulations you can set up. Snare rolls, flams etc. Can you do any of these with maschine? This is why the main reason Im using battery now. Just for those quick artics from single samples. Doing them with midi and simpler in a believable way seems like the bigg...

Anybody help with bounce frequency advice!

Basically, Im exporting stems from Ableton, mostly all instrument tracks. I want to preserve some quality when it comes to mixing so will export the stems at 48kHz. The problem is - one or 2 of the tracks are frozen audio, and Ive lost the presets that I made with the vsts within. And these are save...

Re: A month set for 9-5 writing/creating- what would you do?

Well... I've lost the biggest amount of time asking what to do, which software, hardware, controller and trying things out... Concentrated on things that are not necessary to make music and here I am - with nothing. Or worse - with a lot of knowledge about unimportant things. Forget about complicat...

With an EP to finish and alot of writing to to - Planning to do 9am-5pm days finishing songs, writing material, getting better at sound design, becoming better musicians. Probably the most serious and time sust...

Well, try

Applications/ right click Chrome - show package contents/contents/versions

Right now, Ive 5 versions, totalling 151.4MB each. So, over time, if yo dont clear them out, they really do build up.

Re: where is my hard drive space going?

If its any use to anybody - Google Chrome uses massive amounts of space over time. I was just dealing with it today on my xp, but its the same on macbook. Chrome stores all previous versions of its program (since it only does silent auto-updates) within its program folder (look it up for pc, on mac ...

What size SSD will comfortably run osx 10.6.8 with Ableton?

Im thinking of replacing my (broken) superdrive with an ssd in my 13inch mbp. How could I find out how much space its actually taking up (minus the documents/samples which will be installed on the internal drive.) as of right now? Im considering going for 128gb. Any recommendations on a 128gb? Getti...

Good Click Sound for Drummers?

Anybody have experience using a click in ableton with a drummer? Just need a click sound that will cut easily for them, without deafening them. Ill probably do this through a simpler midi track out. Does Abes work pretty well, and people dont go insane with it? Be also good to have some options if o...
