dummy clips for Return tracks?

Is it possible to create dummy clips on return tracks? Well actually I already think I know the answer, which is no. I want to assign a key on my MIDI keyboard to 'force' a particular delay *time* setting... ie if I press C4 (or whatever key) on my keyboard, I'd like it to make the delay time of a p...

Re: Sync/timing problems with 8.0.3 and Virus TI Snow

Just FYI anyone having the same problem, I have solved it.

I am having exactly the same problem as above. Same machine, MBP.

Seems only to happen when the session is playing though.

Sync/timing problems with 8.0.3 and Virus TI Snow

Hi, I'm getting some problems with the timing of my Virus Snow patches in Live 8.0.3. I imagine this is fairly specific to Virus TI Control software so I guess anyone who doesn't have a virus may not be experiencing this particular problem... but I could be wrong, so do tell. Basically the arpeggiat...

yeah, racks look nice... I'm on V5. But will upgrade to 7 in a few months once Ableton have got their shit together and ironed out the bugs I keep reading about here. And Bomes is a PC only application, right? I'm on mac. I've got something called midiStroke - I guess I could map a whole load of key...

I'd usually do those kind of things once I've recorded to arrangement view and use automation to get the parameters where you need them and when. have you tried automating in the clip envelopes if you want to keep it in session view? you haven't read my post very carefully... :P the whole point is ...

I have the same problem, and I'm using 5. seems the MIDI communication just stops.. particularly after a coupe of minutes if there's been no messages sent. seems to be ok so long as I keep using it. but system profiler still sees it on the USB bus so I guess its a software issue. when I DO lose the ...

from a drum programming perspective, you'll get plenty of help and tips from ppl, (particularly me) but you'd need to be a bit more specific about what you're after first.

Session view: getting clips in a scene to reset fx and sends

firstly, I've searched the forum and the manual, and got roughly 20,000 results for "clip reset effects" here, so forgive me if someone else has asked this (*which I'm sure someone has*) the whole techno thing these days is to have creeping, progressing walls of synth paramater modulation and effect...

yeah I'd like to know the answer to that one. there may be some kind of 3rd party app you can download that sorts this out. I remember my desktop mac had an annoying habit of playing that chime sound on startup REALLY LOUD... but I found some app that disabled it so perhaps someone clever has made o...
