Right and left channels bleeding into each other... HELP!!

I'm using Live to play samples and synths with my band with the drummer listening to a click. In theory this is great but as an interface I've only got a Lexicon Alpha with 2 outputs. I've tried a couple of different set-ups: hard panning left and right to separate click and synths through a stereo ...

Re: how to trigger impulse bass drum from real bass drum?

I downloaded the KT Drum Trigger and used a simple audio input from a piezo mic to trigger midi and, apart from latency issues (my Lexicon Alpha doesn't really cut it!), it works a treat! Once I've got the latency down to a reasonable level, and I've spent some time fiddling with and sussing out the...

Try this piezo mic idea... I want to use it for the same thing, just haven't got round to it yet!

Re: Best free Youtube video Grabber for mac/pc is?

I've been using Freecorder for ages

http://applian.com/freecorder4/download.php

The audio grabber takes a while to work sometimes (but when it does you can record anything you can hear from the internet)
but the YouTube downloader works perfectly every time so far.

I can highly recommend Tom Cosm, I've probably learnt more from his videos than any other single place!

Re: APC 40 vs Sunlight!!!

I played an outdoor gig last week and had the exact same problem... sun was shining directly onto the stage and I basically had to rely on the laptop and knowing where the active clips were and which one was doing what! Bit of a nightmare, really!

Re: Working around audio cutoffs when changing scenes?

Freeze the MIDI tracks, then flatten them, and you've instantly got audio tracks. No need to sample or bounce MIDI tracks to audio and it's much, much quicker.
I quite often do this to cut down on CPU usage and all my PA sets are done like this. 8)

plug the output of your onboard soundcard into a mixer channel so you can monitor it.
Now, why didn't I think of that? Simplicity itself!
Thanks very much indeed, it works a treat :D

Using Live and VLC player at the same time!

I wonder if anyone can help me with this... I've been trying to watch a tutorial video on VLC player and follow it in Live at the same time, but I can't get sound out of both! If I start VLC first Live comes up with "no audio device selected" (it was selected and working perfectly before), and if I ...
