What do you use on the return channels?

Aside from time-based effects like reverb, delay.

I have put a compressor on it and maxed out the settings, then sent some of a track for serial compression.

What do you do thats different and unique?

Peace,

NI classic comps

Great design, great sound, great idea pairing with Softube, but can't they just offer them by themselves as VST's and not hosted in guitar rig?

Re: Mixing sub bass!

thanks all of you for your replies! I'm going to have a crack at this tonight. So far I added some compression on the sub bass track of my drum rack. I also eq'd out some of the boominess and muddiness.

and I will certainly post it when it's done :)

Peace!

its not, depending on what you are trying to accomplish. Dragon's method just creates greater rhythmic possibilities IMO.

Mixing sub bass!

Hey what's up y'all, long time no talk. How have yall been? I'm mixing a new song and it involves a sub bass analog kickdrum that produces solid bass note tones that I am using as the bassline in my song. My problem is that the sub bass is a hard beast to tame, and to monitor for that matter, and I ...

Re: Finishing tracks: Some tips to improve your song production

Thanks for this annotated process, Jason. I too have a hard time saying "eff it, it's finished" (I think we all do, to some degree). Also, as I am just starting out at computer music, It is nice to hear that I am going down some of the right paths.

Thanks,

When you can afford an external one like izotope you are much better of and have limiting and maximizing options.
yeah man, ableton's effects are just OK compared to the 3rd-parties like PSP and Waves.

remixing and contacting artists for permission

whats up all, I have done a couple remixes over some a Capella tracks that I had. I understand that you cannot publish or publicly distribute your remixes without the artists consent. Has anyone contacted an artist and got the green light? It seems that it is such a big feat to contact lets say, Com...
