that really depends on the style of music you are playing, if you want something that stabs and hits, go with the drums, however, if you want a melody that rides, don't fit it with your drums.

Is there anything in ableton that can do this?

Hey guys, totally new to ableton, but I wanted to know if there is anything ableton offers that can create this effect (click the link) If there is, YES (tutorial?) I would use headphones at a loud volume. When mixing, You want it louder. We hear more highs and lows at louder volumes (around 80db), and I wouldn't trade out monitors for desktop speakers, so your next best thing is to get a really nice set of cans, and push them up in volume.
