It also affects tempo synced effects. If they are placed after anything that has a latency more than 0.00!

In the pdf manual but not the paper one.

Re: No delay compensation for Automation??

I think this is inevitable in any host. Tell us what sequencers have its solution and how they would avoid. Just shift the automation to meke it sound fine. Use your ear as DJs doing. Nothing difficult. incorrect what..... every time you add or remove a plug in the chain ...automatically allign aut...

Re: No delay compensation for Automation??

I've never had any issues because of it, but it certainly is a regular entry on the shit-list of Ableton Haters in other forums. -M this is not on the shit-list of ableton haters. it's from people who work with Live and need it to work correctly to do their job. the "shit list" category is a percep...

Re: Do LIVEs automations or tempo SYNCed plugs go out of time?

Answer is YES adding and removing plugins will make automation even volume go totally out of time Its a bit real for a 'PRO' bit of software - being totally out of sync I can only speculate they add up the latency of all plugins in the chain, and then feed the track audio "early" by this amount, and...

Re: No delay compensation for Automation??

Depends how you work: if you use latency inducing plugins a lot and record really quick/precise automation, it will drive you nuts.
yes its driving me nuts

Is there any way of telling how much latency each plugin is creating?

Re: understanding PDC problems and solutions

cheers for the info when i found out LIVE did this I felt a bit like it wasn't a professional tool, more like a piece of cr*p probably why they don't call it a "sequencer" because it doesn't "sequence" properly. Some of these posts go back years............. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZ ££...

Re: Live 9 Please Have These Features

16.5 Device Delay Compensation Note: there are a few situations in which Live cannot compensate for plug-in delay: • Automation is not delay compensated. As a result, when using automation on tracks that contain devices that cause delays, the automation may sound early. • Tempo-synced effects and o...

Re: Live 9 Please Have These Features

There's a lack of functionality with Live in that it doesn't alter plugin automation to compensate for delay introduced by plugins. So the more plugins you add, the more your automation (of all sorts, even volume automation) will be off. By its nature, this lack of functionality will cause this iss...

1) Fix the automation delay. This is the biggest hurdle I have with Live, the biggest single issue that causes me headaches and makes me think of Live as anything less than a professional piece of software. I work on my projects on multiple computers, and as the lag changes on those systems my auto...
