Re: Note to midi conversion (possible?)

Being a guitar player, i'd love to play operator with my guitar for the price of M4L only. Is this possible? I've heard rumbles etc... A while ago I made this fiddle-object into a max-patch, with some of my additions. Its not max4live, but you might use it as a standalone anyway. You find it here: ...

Wishlist for an update

Here are my two top-wishes for an update of Max4Live: 1. Multi-Channel Out It would be great to be able to route audio from Max4Live into different outputs of Live. It is essential for spatialization and also for multi-channel mixing. It would even help to use "soundflower" within Max4Live, to make ...

Re: multi channel

My results so far: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/288305/St.pace.zip Just load the Rack and jump into space. Stefan Hi Stefan, I agree, this is a great solution to the missing multi-channel feature. I am hoping to built a device which is working in 3-d in an octagonal soundfield. I liked the icst-ambis...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9

I have one big wish: Would you please make the "open/close folder" command remoteable ? It would be such a great help working in huge setups with many folders. On stage the command to open a folder is pretty small and when I have to work with the mouse, I get kind of nervous. Everything else is remo...

Re: Using Live8 folders in setups with 120+ tracks

A very interesting post. I have some good news for you though. Simply deselect Overview from the view menu (or alt + cmd + o) and voila, your full screen! Hi Gazgoldstar, You made my day ! What do I say: You made my week ! I am using Live since version 1.0 and I never dicovered this overview-functi...

Using Live8 folders in setups with 120+ tracks

I like to share my experience in using the new folder-function in Live8 in a setup I am using for a ballet. In the moment I am in the opera house of Catania and I am performing 8 shows there. The task was: 12 pieces of music. (90 minutes in one setup) 4 of them are pre-recorded (audio) The others ar...

The second strength is the independancy of pattern length for pitch, velocity and the controller (which is also a great feature in clipp editing in Live). I am not sure what you mean by this. Normally the syntax of a midi note-message consists of the note-number, the velocity and the midi-channel. ...

Thanks for the nice comments. Actually brontologik4 is: 6 layer sending midi data (pitch, velocity and 2 controller) 1 layer starting clips in ableton live 8 variations each layer 8 modes (for each layer) to manipulate and arrange pitch, velocity, controller, scales, transpose, key, pattern length, ...
