Re: VST/AU edit/programming controller
i have got an old bitstream3x which has loads of knobs, 8 faders + some buttons. it`S fully programmable, you can program scenes (for example: 1 scene= 1 instrument), it has a built in arpeggiator, motion sequencer and lfo. but i don`t know if they still produce them. originally it was from waveidea...

Re: Drum Design Synths
Tremor from FXpansion is also quite Nice and completely Synth-based. No samples at all. And Never forget about Operator! Its pretty awesome for drums. I made some tracks where all the drums are made with it. +somewhere in the u-he Forum on kvr you can find a Template for Zebra which is made for drum...

Re: Omnisphere seems meh to me.

Re: Moving Ableton projects and the Sample library to another PC
either all the samples and stuff must be in the same location or you "collect all and save" in every single project. i solved that problem with getting 1 TB Dropbox space and put all my projects and all my samples inside. this way, no matter on which computer i am everything is right there (after sy...

Re: Making music without looking at computer screen>?
Another option might be a cheaper groovebox, the electribe or maybe a few Volcas. Pretty fun taking the computer out of the equation completely. haven`t tried the new electribe yet, but the volcas....... yes they are fun (actually that time was very short for me), but i wouldn`t recommend it for a ...

Re: Ho to request permission to use an acapella?
ask the copyright owner and if you already have used it inside a track attach it to the mail. and if your name is not well known, a link to other works of you + a little biography would be good too. if you are going to release it on a label it also might be possible that they could ask and manage th...

Just as a matter of interest, what can Trilian and Subboombass do that Operator can't? I don't know them, but I'm interested. Is it really worth all that moola? i don`t know subboombass, but you can`t compare trilian and operator! trilian is sample based, operator is a fm-synth. so with trilian you...
