Re: Filter out sounds and voices
By pressing stop?
By wearing earplugs?
But seriously, be more specific for what you want and someone can probably help you.

Re: How to continue playback from stop point?
What do you mean by tips? Best thing to do its download it and have a read through the manual. It's pretty good. And the functionality it allows is amazing.analog-cabin wrote:Anyone have any tips for ClyphX?

This. The Golden Rule. Which I think more people should realise.scutheotaku wrote:if you like the sounds it makes then yes - it's a good option.

Re: How to continue playback from stop point?
I don't think you can get the actual play button to do it but using ClyphX or a MIDI to keystroke converter, you could get your hardware transport play button to do it.

Re: Recommend me a music-making app for iPhone please?
If you're going to use it a fair bit and get into it, Beatmaker is pretty darn good I'd say. I've not used it nearly as much as I intended to or want to but that's just because I don't have as much time to use my iPhone to do stuff (if and when I have time that I feel is spare enough for music, I'll...

Re: Best compact audio interface?
I don't think you can use multiple audio interfaces with live. Unfortunately you can't with Live alone. But on a Mac, you can create an "Aggregate Device" out of whichever inputs and outputs that are available to the system. If you're on a Mac, I personally LOVE the Apogee Duet. It's simp...

Re: Is it possible to set effects on/off as momentary not toggle
by waiting, if you have tiny clues about midi, i really advice you to check usine free vst, you can patch and transform any midi hw behaviours to math your wanted setup. you can build it relatively easyly and for free, 0 bucks, really awesome soft for such custom contrellerism stuff, no equivalent ...

Re: Best compact audio interface?
Outputs are both the same signal, inputs can be 2 mono or 1 stereo in Live. It's a very good piece if the specs are enough for you. Very durable since it's so small and light and has aluminium enclosure. Also quite cheap, got mine less than 90€. I get good quality recordings with it and it's quite ...

Re: Best compact audio interface?
very happy with this one: http://www.esi-audio.com/products/ugm96/ Thanks for the recommendation. :) How does it deal with using both inputs and outputs as stereo pairs instead of separate mono inputs? Just as expected? And does the interface show up in Live as 1(mono) 2(mono) and 1+2 (stereo)? I a...

Re: Best compact audio interface?
What about the Indigo IO from echo? Echo has very good converters Else I'd go for the Cakewalk. I'd not heard of that one but I've just Googled it and there's good reason. I don't have a PCMCIA card slot, so haven't been looking at them. Looking for USB ones. And yes, I think the Cakewalk might be ...

Re: Best compact audio interface?
I have indeed looked at the Audio Kontrol 1 but it seems a bit overkill for what I want. I just want no frills really. Although I'm not necessariy expecting to find it, just hoping.
Also, that one along with many of them are, despite being fairly small, a bit too big still.

Re: Is it possible to set effects on/off as momentary not toggle
It's true. We do pays our monies and makes our choices. And I would actually love to be able to do what I said wasn't a viable workaround really. As a student, I, like I'm sure a lot of people, don't have the spare cash to throw at such things.
No violins (of any size) required.

Re: Is it possible to set effects on/off as momentary not toggle
I don't think buying Max for Live and then paying for an extra device/application is really a fair or particularly viable workaround for functionality that seems to me to be so fundamental.

Re: Best compact audio interface?
Thanks for your input. I should have specified USB really, as I don't have a Firewire port. And the ESI is actually less compact than I was looking for. I'm looking for particularly small. Despite the Behringer name as well as it being Behringer audio too, I might have to give the UCA-222 a chance. ...
