Re: Stuff you have bought and dont use

Most of the hardware synths I own, I never use, except my Virus Classic. 5 years ago I've sold my Yamaha A3000 sampler and Emu Xtreme Lead, 3 years later I've bought them again and still don't use them. I've bought an MPC1000 and sold it 2 years later. Software is so much easier, everything is in th...

Re: Holy F***! Ableton saves my JP8000 patches like an AU/VST!!

yeah that makes sense. The programme changes and some of the automation data is CC's on a JP8000. The rest is sysex though, and although it could be recorded in it's entirety by (nearly all of the) other DAW's (Pro Tools, Cubase, Reaper, Logic et al) Ableton filters it out. So what we all thought y...

Re: U2 are they really that good?

I saw U2 in the Netherlands in the summer of 1981 when they were small and unknown. The Pinkpop festival, it was 11.00 h. in the morning. The crowd was still laying and sleeping. They started and people did stand up. Within 15 minutes the whole crowd was standing and singing along with songs most o...

Re: Launchpad for Ableton 7

Yeah, I don't wanna be a winer and don't like strong words, but I'm disappointed. :(

I want the launchpad and in time I will upgrade to Live 8, but this is not fair.
Ableton/ Novation misled me and a lot of other customers.

Re: Why are you not upgrading to Live 8?

I'm using Live 7. I did not upgrade because: 1. I'm collaborating with a Cubase user. I love Cubase 5. 2. The money, had to choose between Cubase 4>5 or Live 7>8. Live upgrades aren't getting cheaper too. 3. I wasn't really impressed by the new features in Live 8(and I really like the new ones in Cu...

Does Launchpad work with Live7? I mean without Automap. I haven't made the upgrade yet.

Re: Soft synth for "bread n butter" sounds?

I am wondering if anyone can recommend a soft synth that is like the Triton in that it has a lot of usable keys, bass, pads, strings, organs and other essential rock sounds on it. Maybe give the free ProteusVX plus free Proteus Sound Library a change. A lot of organs, piano's, basses, pads, strings...
