Re: Best MacBook Pro for djing with Ableton?
You don't need a new laptop. You should do a fresh OS install, and have the HD checked. What you have is PLENTY for DJing!

Re: Anyone using a macbook pro with a SSD for audio?
Is there any problem streaming a lot of tracks at the same time? Also, sometimes when I'm importing mp3s on the fly during a set, I get clicks etc.... which is shit. Would an SSD help do you think peeps? My current macbook has a 160 gig drive (which is plenty... I never use more than 100 gigs) and 2...

Anyone using a macbook pro with a SSD for audio?
Hey peeps,
I'm upgrading soon...
Just wondering if the SSD drive that comes as an option on the macbookpros is worth considering over a 7200 bog standard drive?
Mainly for DJing, but also music production ableton only.
Cheers.

FCB1010 alternatives... I need something smaller.
Hey folks,
I need something smaller than my FCB1010... It's huge and there isn't always enough room for it on stage (I play in a big band!).
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for something smaller that will still do a good job?
Cheers!

Question for Nocturn users.
Yo. Just wondering if I can use my nocturn with live 808 without all that automap lark? I just literally want to use the crossfader and 2 buttons. Thats it. Actually, when I plug it in (usb) it's not even lighting up. Is it broken or do I need to install drivers etc? I think I've deleted them since ...

Re: Presonus Firebox
No need for a jumpstart here... on my 2007 blackbook. I have 2 of em (one for backup at live gigs). One of em gives me terrible clicks and pops when recording, the other doesn't, which is not a good thing. Sound quality is very acceptable for the price, but you will hear the difference with an RME f...

Re: Clicks and pops driving me to mental breakdown.
I already shaved my balls to see if that would help. I'm gunna get a back sack and crack wax at the next available opportunity. I'm making exclsively tarnce music, but with only dustbin lids and tin whistles. Glitch is not an option. Could the soundcard be busted? My fireface works fine, but the fir...

Clicks and pops driving me to mental breakdown.
Hey everyone,
Getting clicks and pops with my macbook running live version 8.04.
I'm trying to record a stereo channel using a firebox. I've tried the highest to the lowest buffer settings, but I'm still getting clicks and pops when I playback.
HELP!
Muchos thanksos.
Jesse
