i spent the last year going from a predominantly "plug in" rig to mostly hardware. my set up is, 2 rackmount synths (a slim phatty and a MS2000)played by an AKAI MPK 49 and an elektron machinedrum. along with some mics, guitar and bass and a sampler i use a MOTU ultralite mk3 for all of the audio......

Hi pitt, I'll try to offer some help.. Controlling multiple hardware units is pretty easy to do with Live. You'll need a midi interface to allow you to physically connect your computer to your hardware. You can set up midi tracks in Live with the 'external instrument' device corresponding to the mi...

i wasn't pumped about the changes to soundcloud.... but i pay for SC, so my experience hasn't changed much over the years.
it still seems like the best tool out there, to share your music.

also fun and affordable-the roland sp404 sx. leaves you some room for a mic. and some phones.

i also have a zoom h4n that is amazing!!! for 600$ though, you should just get an ipad and a bunch of apps. no internet needed. you might need a mic. or something.

go to preferences then go to record/warp/launch. there, you can set a count in for 1, 2 or 4 bars. it does a little countdown, and shows it in the arrangement position display up at the top. it does it in both arrangement and session view.
