Re: Step Sequencer
Track 17 has the Step Sequencer- Track 18 is receiving MIDI from 17. So I recorded the first clip onto track 18, then changed the Step Sequencer. Then I recorded that onto Track 18. But the clips on Track 18 play the same thing? Even when I turn off Track 17 and drag the audio sample to 18. http://i...

Re: Step Sequencer
Thanks! So when I do this... is it possible to record different sequences on the same MIDI track? I recorded the midi I wanted for a certain section... then went back and changed the sequence... and then recorded the new midi on the same track. But it seems that changing the sequence changed the pre...

Step Sequencer
I'm a newbie when it comes to using the Step Sequencer that came with Max for Live. Is there a practical way to record like... two bars of the sequence into the arrangement view? Right now if the sequencer is activated, it plays continually over the entire song. I don't have a hardware device that I...

Live 8 & Omnisphere
When I'm flipping through Omnisphere presets in Live it often crashes the whole program. I think it's because it's using too much computer power. Is there a way to change preferences to make it not use so much computer memory?

Using Macros
When you assign two or three parameters to a macro, is it possible to "pause" the macro and go back to tweaking the parameters individually? Then click on the "unpause" button to have the macro working again?

Adopting An Audio Clip's Tempo
Hey- To get used to working with Live and making synth tones, I decided to try listening to some songs and recreating the tones using Operator. The way I've been doing this so far is by importing the song file into Live, dragging it into the arrangement window, and looping it. Then I tweak Operator ...

Re: Organizing Song Scenes
It's a little difficult since I have 8 tracks of clips, and arranging them to trigger at the right time is really time consuming. Maybe it's because I'm not experienced enough with using Ableton to have an efficient work flow. I was hoping that there might be a way to use the arrangement view to arr...

Organizing Song Scenes
Hey everyone! I've been working with Ableton Live 8 to enable my band to play with backtracks during our live performance. I've been doing this by putting each song into separate scenes in the session window. My question- is there a simple way to organize the tracks so they are synced up to play at ...
