Re: What was your favorite gear purchase of 2013?

New Macbook Pro and Push. Pretty much fun.

But the best move of the Year was not purchasing any vsts and only using Abletons native Instruments & FX

Re: Backpack Suggestions?

Personally, i think if you transport two Laptops and Push, you should save your expensive equipment
and a Peli Case is the only way to go.

Re: Happy Push owners sound off.

i use it "stock" and love it, which is a very personal decision. I don t have as much time for Music as i would like and have always spend much time trying plugins and setting up Controllers, not so much making Music. As i got Live 9 i switched to a Mac, got Push and decided to only use Abletons Nat...

Will there be "Live Ultimate" soon?

what do you think? As the Abletons like their Packs so much and try to push them i thought about if there will be something like Live 10, Live 10 suite and Live 10 ultimate, which will be ultra expensive and will give you everything you can buy from Ableton (Software wise). What do you think about t...

Re: Convince me to buy PUSH (or not)

Hi, loving your Music (and binary scenes is my Goto for nice time with the wife...) What i would do (and did myself) is ordering one with 30days return, wrap it in Plastic wrap, test it mucho and decide then. Personally i love it and think you will too. For me, it s the only Controller (other than K...

Re: Push Swing vs. Ableton Grooves

I am not sure that you can t apply swing after recording. I thought it affects the last recording you did.
Can somebody confirm this? I will try it out later.

Re: Studio Robbed & Time to Rebuild

The latest and greatest is:

The Top Macbook Pro (as always)

or

the Top Thinkpad T or W (as always)....

which are also pretty expensive (as always)...

Personally i use a Macbook Pro 15 Retina, bought refurbished, still hate the price but love how it works

Re: What hardware should I get?

I think every Pad Controller could work for you, try them out at a music store and take the one with the best playability for you. If you want even more possibilities get Push. But all the points you mention happen in the Software, not the controller. -3 Midi Controller at once are possible with Abl...

Re: Best tutorials/samples subscription site?

instead of paying for samples everybody uses try routing your audio to live with sound flower, open your Browser and enjoy freesound.org and the Internet Archive.

(this is not meant to sound rude, Puremagnetik for example does great work, but if you like new sounds, try it)

Re: Recommended 'bedroom studio' setup

I second that you have about more than most Beginners and a really good selection. In my Opinion, next step would be Monitors which can be quite expansive and this is the one Area where spending some money is really clever, because of two things: You use them ALL THE TIME you make Music and not just...
