Re: A way to automate or MIDI map Computer MIDI Keyboard switch

Yes, keyboard maestro can do a simple key remap in a single app or globally. I use it with this USB keyboard http://xkeys.com/xkeys/xk60.php I map keys to functions, play macros, open apps and urls in Live, ProTools and more. It is as complex as you wish it to be. Support is good. I barely scratch t...

Re: How do I crop a specific part of a sample?

You can also use crop without turning on warp mode. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think when warp is on cropping will "bake" the warp's timings into the new cropped sample. Both methods are handy, depends on your needs.

Check out Keyboard Maestro. It does a whole lot more than just map keys. I can't work without it. I am not affiliated to the maker in any way.

Re: Avantone - Feeding Ideas

I love my Avantone Cubes, I use them along with my Genelecs to check my broadcast and music mixes. Definitely helps improve my mixes. I imagine you can crank them up, each cube has a huge power supply, great quality all around. I feed both sets of speakers with the passive JBL MPatch 2.

Re: software modular systems

Also there is Audulus. It's constantly being developed and sounds great. Runs on OSX, iOS, Windows and Linux! It started out with very basic components that are now being combined into some pretty hefty patches, some emulating hardware modules. It does require the latest OSX which I'm not running bu...

Re: Sync Video on external monitor with Live

I wonder if MTC would work. Not as accurate as SMPTE though.

Re: Sync Video on external monitor with Live

Here's a free tool that may work if you run Live with Max4Live on the second pc. These are amxd files, I believe they work on OSX or Windows.

Re: I just upgraded to Suite from Standard, audio clips are midi

Stromkraft is correct. Facegrinder is essentially a synth patch, not an audio file. The waveform you see when you click on the patch name is a preview file of the midi file. It's there for convenience, not for pasting into a slot or track.

Re: Live and MTC

Showsync have some useful free plugins for Live. Maybe this could help.

LiveMTC is a free plugin/app combination that outputs Midi Time Code from Ableton Live.

Realm Of The Jezebel Spirit

It"s time for another fun mix, this time a remix of Jezebel recorded by the Golden Gate Quartet, an amazingly funky record for (ca) 1940, it mashes snippets of The Who, Stones, Freda Payne, Junk Yard Band, and a crew of worked up YouTube preachers into a snappy happy exploration of Biblical history'...

Re: Expired demo period problem!! Fixed (sort of)

The problem with authorization was solved by using Safari instead of Firefox to connect with Ableton.
However the standalone doesn't authorize. No problem.

Expired demo period problem!!

I tried to reinstall Max For Live max5_5.1.0b.dmg and now the installer is telling me my demo period has expired.
Just hours after the original install. How can I start from the beginning. I'm dying to try Max!
Thanks,
Doug
