Ok, thanks for the quick feedback on my post. Here are some details: I use Live 7. The "audio drop-out" I'm talking about is the general audio produced by Live 7, not any specific synth or channel. It's just as the computer audio card drops out for half a second. I'm using a new MacBook running Leop...

Live 7 audio dropouts on external incoming MIDI PC

Hi, When sending a MIDI Program Change into this MacBook running Leopard audio is dropping out for half a second. - Is this common? - Is there a fix or a workaround? Details: I'm running one instance of the AU Arturia Moog Modular V, one instance of the AU Augustus Loop and on instance of Live's Rev...

what anybody would want with 256 slices? 128 are more than enough Imagine that you are slicing a vocal melody sample into sixteenth notes. Now, 128 slices is only two bars ! So in fact the present implementation forces you to create a new sampler instrument track for each two bars of vocals to be t...

You're miss the point. There's no need to send MIDI through ReWire! But there's A BIG NEED for syncing two applications by ReWire. One reason you might want to do that is MIDI processing, as in arpeggio treatments. I am reporting this because other applications can sync by ReWire and still send/rece...

Live 7.0.1 disabling OS X IAC Bus when in ReWire Slave mode

This is one of the worst bugs in Live and I'm amazed it was still allowed in version 7! When you run Live as ReWire slave the IAC Busses are disabled and you can't send MIDI back to the host application. What a waste for all those nifty MIDI plug-ins of Live's! Does anyone know why this isn't fixed?...

Yep, that's where I have finally landed too. I use huge firewire drives. When working on projects I pop in two of them and keep the same data on both. So if one dies I won't lose much work.

I've learned that from real life experience. Usually when working with a drunk mixing engineer, live or in the studio, the resulting mix comes out way too sharp by the upper end. ;-)

Per Boysen, I'm on windows, an OS update here can be done only 2 years after its release :D Oh... I didn't know that. I use Windows a lot, but only for music, and the last time I upgraded XP was three years ago when I bought my recent laptop :P BTW - I also use Mac a lot and have an RME FF400 that ...

Quite often Apple and Microsoft upgrade their Operating Systems and sometimes outboard drivers needs to match this to keep up the good performance

Re: Amplitube 2

Anybody use this? I just got it and need some advice on good setups/presets I have the Jimi Hendrix edition of AT 2 and it's amazing IMHO! I guess for the basic amp simulation sounds that I like so much, the JH edition is no different then the normal AT 2. To my taste it's the best virtual guitar a...
Ahhh.... found it! My bad ;-S ....etc etc
NOT! Actually I just found out that I am right about this, because I'm talking ReWire sync. When running Live as ReWire sync slave all MIDI Track outputs are gone. That's a sad fact, because Live could be so useful if that was working. ...

maybe it's a UB problem?? UB is not an issue on a PC running Windows. Why can so many other applications route MIDI Track output and not Live? I bet it would be possible, maybe it's even on the Abe's to-do-list but they have not had time to implement it (or rather given priority to other functions).

i don't have any experience with them (the first ones are due in australia this week apparently), but the prices are good at http://www.zepto.com ... might be worth a look.
