Korg nanoKontrol 2 custom MIDI Remote Script

Here's my midi remote script for the Korg nanoKontrol2. It was built from the MackieControl script, and bears a few modifications : - The top knobs now control Sends instead of Pan. - You can switch thtough the sends by pressing Marker left and right arrows - Mute led is on when the track is on, led...

Re: korg ms 2000 question regards polophony

The 4 notes polyphony never was an issue for me. The crappy sounding filter, on the other hand, bothered me a lot more...

Re: APC 40 mk2

NAMM is nearly upon us. Live 9 will be introduced and an apc 40 mk2. What improvements do u think will be made? I didn't know that ! Is it fact or just rumours ? What I'd like in an APC40 mk2 is having send knobs directly on top of the mixer channels, and lcd screens under each knob to see what par...

Re: Using Python's threading module in MIDI Remote Scripts ?

Well I found a way...
There is a timer that can call callback functions every 100ms in the scripts. There was already an "on_timer" function in the file I was editing so I just had to add some code in there and voila.

Using Python's threading module in MIDI Remote Scripts ?

I'm customizing a python midi remote script for my nanoKontrol2 and would like to have the leds of a track to flash for a few miliseconds when the selected track changes. I managed to do so with a time.sleep but it has a major drawback : it is a blocking function and during these few miliseconds, it...

I vote for Ctrl + scroll = zoom.
Or alt + scroll = zoom, just like in Photoshop.

Re: Macros with presets, assignable to anything, with feedback ?

Presets and bi-directional mappings are also part of an upcoming update of Sixteen Macros. Along with an improved parameter display, easier mapping and probably OSC support. There will probably be a 32 and 64 knob version too. Just like Sixteen Macros, Preset Mapper is a device that was made out of...

Re: Macros with presets, assignable to anything, with feedback ?

Well you'll have to wait till 8.2.2. Since it is impossible to access devices inside racks with any earlier versions. They're not inside racks. The sixteen macros thing works just fine with the parameters I want to use, but it doesn't have the features I want. The preset mapper does what I want, ex...

Re: APC40 - do you need an audio interface?

Hello all, This has most likely been covered in previous posts but... I'm saving up for an APC40 at the moment so I can make the transition from serato to playing fully from Live. Do you think an audio interface is necessary? I've read bits and pieces about it being necessary, especially for cueing...

I'm pretty sure those XLR are included in the 8 analog outs.

EDIT : nevermind, you're right

Re: New Ableton User and Midi controllers please help

Try that :
Don't select anything in the upper side of the panel.
Then just set the Remote to On for the UC33 Input.
Then, close the Preferences, click on Midi on the top right corner
Click on the control you want to assign to a fader, and move the fader.
Repeat this last step for each control

Re: Macros with presets, assignable to anything, with feedback ?

I have a device called "Sixteen Macros" that does this. An update that allows access to devices inside Racks will be added once Live 8.2.2 is released. http://maxforlive.com/library/index.php?by=any&q=vayner&submit=Search I tried that one. It's not bidirectional and doesn't have p...

Macros with presets, assignable to anything, with feedback ?

I'm looking for a Max For Live device that could provide me with 8 or more macros, assignable to anything in the set (not just rack macros), with different presets to change the parameters used during the set, and bi-directional, to have the value changing if the program of a synth change for exampl...
