Ableton Orchestal Instrument Collection - are they any good?

I was mainly interested in the Strings and Woodwinds, but they are worth it I guess I could buy the whole collection...

does anyone have got them? how would you rate them? is there a good selection of sounds? how much can you tweak them?

Re: hi guys i need help :)

the tutorial that Rationalizer linked for you will help you for sure!

if you want to recreat the whole sound though, I would add some reverb effect with a high-pass filter on it

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

thanks again for the support. that's exactly my thought... I guessed they would care to know which store is doing that, but the persone I talked to via e-mail didn't really care much. I'm starting to think that this issue is more common than it seems. one of the MOD on their forum even said it was p...

Re: transitioning to next song

usually it works like this: you load all your songs in one set, some in a track, some in others. you assign to each track a crossfader setting (the A and B buttons at the bottom of the track), so that you can use the crossfader to transition from one song to another. I wrote it very briefly just to ...

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

NI have some duty of care to their customers Regardless of what a retailer does. The shop is liable. NI are liable. The customer is also responsible for their actions... ALL this could have been avoided if NI identified the product as an EDU version with registration. This happened to me but NI acc...

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

Edu or normally bought Macbook are exactly the same, so all the other products of any company sold under educationals schemes. yeah but if I want to resell a Mac bought under an EDU licence I guess I can? I don't think it's really fair, or let's say smart, for NI not to let the owner check in any w...

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

If you buy a ROLEX from a store and pay the full price, and then find out that it is a 10 € fake, do you blame ROLEX that they didn't mark it? With NI, you definitely blame the wrong guys! that example doesn't really apply here. yes it does. joghurt is spot on. you're moaning to the wrong person. y...

Re: How Do i Make The chopped and SCrewed Effect On a Vocal Samp

I guess that ok.ultra meant that you have to slow down and pitch down the sample as it is playing the part on which you want the effect, while using beat repeat

this VST has a "slow" effect that could help you as well:

Re: Why is my drum kit so QUIET!!

how do you play your drumkit?
do you use some pad controller? it could be set to a low value, thus making the drum sound very low maybe.
or does it happen even if you draw a beat directly into Live?

does it happen even in an empty set with only the drumkit in it?

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

the saga continues! in my last e-mail to the customer service I wrote them that, since they didn't even care about their customer and would let them deal with this kind of stuff alone without any support (even if it's in their interest find out who sells EDU copies for full price), I was going to so...

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

is it a reputable store??? sounds like the store knowingly sold you an EDU license for full license price thinking that you would never sell it. take the receipt to the store along with the responses from NI. and if they don't rectify the situation, then tell NI what store it was and urge them to p...

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

You should have taken your receipt to the store and ask them to rectifiy their mistake by giving you a non-edu liscence key. If the receipt proves that that's what you paid for, it should be no problem right? I don't see how this is in any way NI support's fault or problem. The only thing you can b...

Re: my story about NI denying any help with my Maschine licence

NI should sue you for swindling an EDU version out of them when you (admittedly!!) weren't even eligible, then trying to sell that which you aren't allowed!!! naw man, just kidding. That sucks :( If Customer Support cannot help you with your problem, maybe you can reach them better through twitter,...
