kewl, didn't know that. I've never considered making money from my music other than getting the neighbors to pay me to not play. BeatPort aside, what's the situation for someone who wants to put their tune out there and see who bites without a middleman. that's been the great part of the mp3 revolu...

Re: Is there such thing as an entertaining DJ performance?

in clubs people don't look too much at the DJ booth unless you are another DJ, they are dancing, drinking, talking, is not a rock show, is more interactive than that. totally agree with that. in a busy club, you are too involved in having a good time dancing, chatting etc. except for music geeks (m...

i agree with aequitas123.

i group my drums into a drum bus, and guitars into a drum bus, which i can then add compression etc to. Also handy for volume controlling as i use the sliders on my trigger finger for volume control whilst making a track so i can quickly turn up or down all the drums etc.

This would be great for beginners, i'm fully backing it. +1 i have a book which is essentially the same as this idea, it tell of the main aspects of what goes into each beat, bass lines etc. it was pretty handy starting out, as you get to a point where you can then put your own ideas into a track, ...
