the multiface works with a macbook pro? i'm not sure the kind of pci i can use in a macbook pro, is it pci express or pcimcia? is it possible to use a multiface II with a laptop and a desktop also? edit: ok just checked rme's site, those questions are answered ... still, i would like the portability...

if you want lowest latencies don´t go for USB or FW ... Go for a PCMCIA (PCI) or ExpressCard (PCIe) Interface. what about latency? right now i have a good latency under a fireface 800, my macbook pro with my full live set gives me a 512 buffer, wich translates to 12 ms ...

i would love to get a duet for my live set, but i need to get some buffer/latency info first!

hey matt, i'm checking around for that purpose also (my old motu 808 got busted), and right now i'm more inclined to the fireface 400... but also considering the focusrite saphire pro 26 going to try my friend's rme first, he says that you can't beat the clock eheh! anyone got clues about the latenc...

i normally put my computer to sleep after the soundcheck and leave everything as is..

most shows i do, or did have had NO sound checks...basically, set up your shit, in the dark, while other people are playing. ha! yup, i've played in all kind of situations (like setting up inside a record store while it's open) but when you do have soundcheck, i like to really check the setup :twis...
