Sincerely,
Either you wait till its ready (and I am sure its coming) - or just switch DAW and get happy elsewhere.

Do you think the Abletons don't know what to do? Seriously...

Re: MusicRadar's Best DAW vote

This might be true for this special case (which is a rather rare on I guess), but for the vast majority of problems to solve Live is much more powerful than Reason. I gave you quite a specific example, but this is actually symptomatic of a bigger context. Put simply, MIDI editing in Reason is far m...

Re: MusicRadar's Best DAW vote

Speaking of tools - of course if I wanted to dig a massive hole, I could use a simple shovel, but I could also use a power shovel. The latter gets the work done much more quickly and more comfortable I guess.. ;) In most cases I agree with your analogy, which is why Ableton Live is by far my main m...

Well, that's really not necessary.
I'd rather choose my own converter, there's tons of free ones.

Re: Is Live Dead?

Like everyone else here, we have been waiting patiently for Ableton's new version of Live and as each and every other developer have been releasing a new version, some are on their second since Live8 was released, Ableton seems to have become stagnant. I am not - I am totally ok with Live 8, don't ...

Re: MusicRadar's Best DAW vote

Comparing Live and Reason is as pointless as comparing the flute to the violin. Sure, both can play similar tunes within broadly the same treble clef range... but they are totally different instruments. And in the same way Reason and Live are totally different creative musical tools. Speaking of to...

But if you select a track the mixer would disappear, right?

Re: Feature Request (or Bug Fix): Kill exe after crash/shut down

Turn off the audio interface as well.

Still you have to wait with audio interface and midi off.

Solution: Don't provoke a crash.

Re: How do I clear Live out of memory after a crash?

BTW - dont use the applications page end task, instead go to the processes page and select "end process tree" on the "Live 8.2.2.exe *32". Tried that - doesn't work neither. Worth both of you submitted a bug report about this and pointing to this thread ass well as I suspect something does still ne...

Re: How do I clear Live out of memory after a crash?

I normally use the task manager to kill it. I've seen this happen with certain audio interfaces - which one do you have? I have the same problem every time Live crashes (Win7 64 bit, FastTrack Pro USB audio interface). I tried different 3rd party task managers (Process Explorer etc.) - killing the ...

Re: How do I clear Live out of memory after a crash?

If you have an external sound card/audio interface: Turn it off and wait the process to end.

Really annoying problem indeed.

Re: Propellerhead Reason 6 announced!

Reason is nice to look at, but very tiresome to work with, especially in complex arrangements. It has a kind of nerd appeal, like for people with to much time at their hands who are into dragging cables around to construct complex machines out of basic elements. The only thing I am interested in con...

Re: Propellerhead Reason 6 announced!

Whatever they do, I'll never go back...their limited interface gets much to messy when working on complex structures.
