Re: Dave Smith Tetra - who has one? Thoughts?
anyone used tetra with another DSI synth? namely a mopho or Prophet? I have the Mopho Keyboard and Tetra. I know it works seamlessly with poly chain, but I've read that in this mode, the tetra only acts as a voice expander to whatever patch you have on the "main" synth. Not exactly. They ...

Re: Anyone upgrading their Soniccouture Live packs?
I had the same problem. You may have to call or email the abe's to sort it. What happened to me was a second license was created for my 3 Soniccouture packs even though I was logged into the Abe's website when registering the serial numbers. When I kept trying to authorize it wasn't taking into acco...

Re: Partner Instruments
Are there going to be any deals if you have already purchased products from the Partners? I own several of the Soniccouture packs (Konkrete Drums 1&2 and the Synthi Aks), but I would love to have them better integrated into live if possible without paying for the packs again. Jason Go to the So...

Re: Any way to get Maschine to follow Drum Rack 'square'?
EDIT::: hey... i had the same issue... i was putting the user remote script into the hidden app-resources midi remote scripts file, not the 'User remote scripts' file which is in Preferences/Ableton/User remote scripts. That might be the problem that others are experiencing who are having difficult...

Re: Any way to get Maschine to follow Drum Rack 'square'?
Group A spits out midi notes starting with C-1, C#-1, D-1, etc. rather than triggering whichever 16 pads are in focus. That is correct. I set up the remote script so that drum racks corresponds to these notes. I figured they were low enough that they wouldn't get much use so they were good ones to ...

Re: Any way to get Maschine to follow Drum Rack 'square'?
Here you go. Post #35 http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82226&page=3 Contains the template to load into Maschine from the controller editor and also the custom remote script folder for Live. As for the transport : play = play rec =rec erase = stop restart = loop RW/FW butt...

Re: Any way to get Maschine to follow Drum Rack 'square'?
Yes you can. I made a template called LiveMaschine which used the remote template thing. Group A maps to the current drum map while groups B-H play chromatic notes. I also made 4 pages for the knobs - Macros, Volume, Send A, Send B. All the transport controls are mapped as well as master volume. I u...

Re: Opinions on Session Drums?
I like the session drums. They sound good but are a bit of a pain to use IMO. While the Live integration is nice, the routing and multi mic setups just took too much work to figure out and fiddle with. For realistic drums I prefer Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2. Look around if you're interested. I k...

Re: Anyone using Arturia CS80 synth in Live?
That is one annoying thing about the Arturia synths. Most of them all have unexposed parameters. If I remember correctly though that control can be midi learned. After that you can draw the automation in the clip using the midi cc you assigned to it. Best work around I can think of short of recordin...

Re: Will upgrading to Snow Leopard require re-authorisation?
Live did require re-authorization with a clean install.
I was able to use my existing authorizations for both my IK plugs and my Toontrack plugs though.

Re: Just installing Logic 9....
I use both. Nothing beats Live for the creation process for me. I do flesh out ideas and an arrangement in Live. On that note though I do like Logic's better when it comes to mixing and final completion of a track. For me the best way to work together with them is to flesh out the idea in Live. I th...

Re: Change hd = problem with Live authorization?
I recently upgraded my MBP hard drive to a 500g one. I used carbon copy cloner and just cloned my hard drive to the new 500g one. Popped it in my MBP and everything was ready to go. I did not have to reauthorize Live or any of my NI plugs.

Re: Wired/Wireless/Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard on OSX MBP?
I use a MS Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 w/ my MBP. Works great w/o any problems. I've had it for almost 2 years. Batteries last for a good while. I do use rechargeable batteries so I don't have to waste money buying new ones. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Bluetooth-Notebook-Mouse-Windows/dp/B000T...
